Relax under the large deck pergola or in the hot tub, listen to the crash of waves, stargaze at night and enjoy a local wine with friends around the fire.
Whether is after a day of touring EPIC wine routes, hiking or biking the nearby conservation areas, the Lakeside House is just the place to come back and unwind! It is a contemporary designed home with a well stocked gourmet kitchen/living room overlooking the lake.
It is a getaway where unregistered guests and parties are not permitted.
The space
Beautiful renovated home with stunning lakefront views. The sunroom and the deck are great spots to relax and enjoy the sounds of the water, watching the boats go by or a beautiful sunset. 2 large bedrooms, 2 full baths and 3 indoor sitting areas. The upstairs sitting area has a sofa bed, and can be used as an office during the day and as a 3rd bedroom at night. The kitchen has just about everything you need for cooking and entertaining. The voice activated Alexa device will allow you to play your favourite music !!!
We also have a BBQ with propane.
A variety of coffees, teas, breakfast bars, filtered water are offered complimentary.
We have 2 kayaks and 4 bicycles on site which could be used to explore the unique habitat of this magnificent land and water intertwine. ( let us know in advance if you are going to use any of them so we can have them ready for you. Bring your own helmet. For kayaks we offer vests and the emergency kit required by law) but you will need an SUV or a truck to bring them to the boat ramp/dock, 400 m away.

The historic town of Amherstburg with Fort Malden, many great restaurants, bakeries and grocery shopping is within a 15 min drive. The famous Southern Ontario wine route has about 20 wineries to explore, most of them with their own restaurants. A local brewery and distillery are only minutes away. Guests have full access to the home. Free parking on the premises for up to 4 cars.
Other things to note
Video cameras are monitoring the exterior of the property, on the main side entrance only.

Mayflies come in at the end of June or beginning of July.
