the best part was the beach view.. the food was OK. and the sheets have a blood stain. the mattress for the pull out couch needs to be replaced it was so thin and uncomfortable. the pool had too much chlorine it gave me a headache. otherwise it was OK.

We return to this hotel often.... for the view, location, and hot tub. Wish they would switch to breakfast like other hotels instead of boxes. Also, wish housekeeping would come and replenish towels & coffee and take trash, even if they don't clean before 3 nights...

Great beach front 3 start resort , we enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the room 104 , which had 1 king bed , patio from which we could access the beach directly. There is hot pool for adults. Room and amenities were neat and clean, well maintained, except the standing shower floor was slippery and the shower head needed upgrade - only complaint I have. Parking is plenty. Tv was smart and upgraded , Starbucks coffee as the complimentary in-room coffee 🙂 Would love to come back if I get a good discounted deal , it will be pricy during summer.

Everything was as expected from a nice looking hotel. One thing was much less than desirable. So undesirable I would not stay there again. The front desk area smelled terrible. The mix of Mold & Chlorine was overpowering. It was fainter in the hallways. It was even more faint in the room. I could smell it though the entire main building. I did not venture to the connected building.

Sugar Beach is an attractive hotel on Grand Traverse Bay. The room is lovely. And the pool area is very nice as well as the lobby. The view of the water is wonderful. And everyone there on staff is very friendly.

The room was very nice…However, I was asked to slide my card for “incidentals” and wasn’t told it was $100! I was only there from 11 pm to 7 am. I have to wait for 5 days for the money to come back to my account. I have been charged before but never that much. I travel a lot internationally and was only there to sleep. Won’t stay again but the everything was good besides this.
