LOCATION: My unit is on the 2nd floor of Iron Horse North facing the central village across from Great Bear and Iron Horse South. It is a lovely location with easy access to everything in the village. Really the perfect location for every convenience.

CHECK-OUT TIME: Check-out is 11:00 am and the cleaners usually arrive very close to 11am.
EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT: Early check-in and/or late check-out may be available depending on my cleaner's schedule. If available, I generally charge a fee equal to about 5% of your nightly rate per hour (basically 1/20 of your nightly rate) with a minimum of $25. Please let me know asap if you are requesting early check-in or late check-out so I can check with the cleaners. I charge this fee because I usually pay the cleaners more for the tight cleaning window and because it is extra work for me to coordinate it with cleaners, front desk, etc. Early check-in to access the garage is no charge.
SPLITTING WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS: Rentals starting or ending on a Saturday (splitting the weekend), on a major holiday or splitting a major 3 day holiday weekend, will usually incur an additional fee, unless those are the only dates available on my calendar. Normally, the fee is 33% of the nightly weekend or holiday rate.
CANCELLATIONS: My cancellation policy is full refund if I am able to re-rent it (up to amount of new rental) regardless of when you cancel. Otherwise, for all cancellations more than 14 days in advance, full refund less $100 cancellation fee. For cancellations less than 14 days in advance there is a $250 cancellation fee. No refund for cancellations less than 5 days (unless I am able to re-rent it). Normally, I am able to re-rent it, but usually for a lower price the closer it gets to the check-in date, so please if you must cancel, give me as much time as possible.
CHECK-OUT TIME: Check-out is 11:00 am and the cleaners usually arrive very close to 11am.
CLEANING We are following all recommended cleaning requirements for vacation rentals to prevent virus transmission. This includes: disinfecting of all high touch surfaces and laundering linens per recommendations.
POOL The Village Swim and Fitness center has a pool, a large hot tub, a gaming/arcade room and a gym. There are locker rooms with lockers, showers, steam room etc. There are not towels provided for this facility. Please do not use my towels. Please get towels from the Iron Horse South fitness center and return towels to bins near elevators in my building.
HOT TUB & GYMS There are 2 locations with hot tubs and gyms. The one noted above and in Iron Horse South. This location has towels along with the other amenities.
BOOKING REQUEST vs INQUIRY: At this time I prefer you send an INQUIRY rather than an actual booking, especially if any of the following apply: 1) Your stay starts or ends on a Saturday or major holiday 2) Your group includes more than 4 unrelated adults 3) Your booking is more than 3 months in the future 4) Your group includes more than 3 kids (ages 0-17) 5) Your group includes more than 6 guests 6) Your stay leaves a 1 day gap of a rentable night on my calendar >>> Please send me an INQUIRY, rather than a booking, so we can chat a bit before completing your booking. THANKS!
NIGHTLY MINIMUMS: Generally, I accept 2 day minimum rentals within the next 3 weeks, 3 day minimum rentals within the next 3-5 weeks, 4 day minimum rentals for 5 weeks to 2 months out and 5 night minimums for 2 months or further out. There is some flexibility.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful condo! This place is very clean, comfortable and has a well stocked kitchen. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Great location in the village!
Very nice and extra comfortable place. Lots of access to linens and towels as needed. We didnât see the twin bed in each room as shown in the photos but the corner ottoman in each room may open up.We didnât need the extra bed this trip but if we do have a fifth person I donât think they would have been comfortable and we would need a larger unit. Kitchen has everything you need including three coffee machines and electric tea kettle. Love the leftover dry goods are available to use if needed. Parking easy to use and helpful to have luggage cart access. Highly recommend
âWOW!â This was our reaction when first opening the door to Jaysa and Marcâs beautiful, comfortable condo. Photos donât begin to do it justice. Every room is larger than expected. The decor is lovely. Kitchen supplies are plentiful. Thereâs even an entire chest of drawers with games, and thoughtful items for those traveling with infants. We enjoyed the large patio, and all living/sleeping areas. The location within Northstar Village is excellent: a two minute walk to great pizza, and coffee (although the condoâs kitchen includes a Keurig, Nespresso, French press, standard coffee maker!!) and to the main recreation center. Some restaurants and shops were closed or had limited hours during this quiet summer off-season.The arrival process from Northstar staff was easy and pleasant. Follow Jaysaâs detailed instructions for the check-in location. I could go on and on, but to keep it briefâŠif you have a chance, just book it!Many thanks to the Z Family for offering this place to guests!
We stayed off season in April. It was pretty warm and the snow was fading. The property owner is kind and very thoughtful with how the place is prepared. Thereâs just about anything you might need. You are right in the village. An elevator down will take you a few steps to pizza place. The rooms are large and care was made and itâs comforting. I will return if she will have us!
We enjoyed 5 days in March at this delightful accommodation. Perfect for 3-4 people, with all the amenities provided thoughtfully by attentive owners. Situated in the heart of it all at Northstar - we will be back again and again.
My wife, son (3 year old) and I stayed here for five nights and had a great time. The place was clean. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with nice stainless steel pans. The apartment location was great, as it's a 30 second walk to the ice rink or ski rentals. About a 45 to 60 second walk to the gondola. Check in was easy, and parking was easy. Would recommend.
We loved the condo. The beds were comfy and it was close to everything. The kitchen was well stocked and the condo was well taken care of. The owner was responsive when I had questions. We would definitely stay here again.
Our family has stayed here before and were excited to come back again. :-) We liked that there were two bedrooms, each with king beds. We also liked the option of 2 additional twin-sized (ottoman) beds that could be made up as well. We love the location and always enjoy being right in the Northstar Village. Additionally, we enjoy the outside balcony area where you can "people watch," read a book or have a drink where you can enjoy the view and village fun. :-)
Thank you again for another wonderful time!
The condo is lovely and spacious. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The resort is incredible. We had a great time exploring the local amenities, and we loved being close to Truckee and the lake.
Thanks for a great vacation, Jaysa! We can't wait to come back.
Great stay, beautiful condo, well equipped (with nice cookware, dishware and glassware!!) and in a great location within the village for Gondola access as well as all the village has to offer for non skiers. Seriously, I've rented lakefront houses on Lake Tahoe that didn't have as nicely equipped a kitchen as this condo. Will stay here again for sure.
Our family of four (kids ages 5 and 7) had a fantastic four night stay. The condo was exactly as pictured and in a great location. Ski locker, comfortable beds, and clean. The condo owner was very responsive to my questions before and during the trip. We loved it and would absolutely stay again.
Property owner is very quick to respond to an questions I had. Itâs very centrally located. Itâs a very clean condo and has everything you might need.
My wife and I recently did three nights at Northstar and since I ski, while she doesnât, we did stayed in the village here vs outside the resort. Location convenience is the number one winning mark here, plus check in and communication was smooth.
But from there and given the cost a night, even off-peak rates, we as consistent travelers wouldnât opt to stay here again. Main issues: lack of any privacy with this specific location of a condo in âthe villiageâ - you want a end unit or one that looks at nature, not the shopping avenues in the village. The carpets in this unit are dirty and smelly. (As a skier I realize these ski in/out condos always have more wear too). When we arrived and for our stay it had a very strong smell of Indian food and dirty carpet so we bought several candles. Final major itemâŠ.the lighting, more specifically, the light bulbs. Such a bright white all over the condo, felt like a cafeteria. Would highly recommend changing bulbs for some relaxing ambient lighting.
Overall the host was most gracious and welcoming but the condo itself left more to be desired.
