The room smelled like wet dog. The fridge did not work well, and the door to the freezer part was missing, so one big block of ice in the freezer part. Won't be back for the wet dog smell alone.

This is a very nice place to stay. Staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great and rooms were clean. Hall restrooms were very clean. I would highly recommend people to stay at this LaQuinta in Tyler, Texas.

When i was ill and had to come to the front desk for a room key, Juan did not tell me i needed to bring my credit card back to the desk. When i returned, I dropped one my old key card when I lost my grip on it as it was in the same hand as my credit cards. Juan was VERY rude. When i tried to tell him i was ill and was trying to prevent myself from vomiting in the lobby, he looked at me with extreme disdain and told me "Go ahead", standing with his arms crossed and glaring at me. After about 4 or 5 stays here with no issues, this was too much. We will not be back.

Water in room smelled and tasted like dirt. After a shower the whole room would smell like dirt. Also, The in room tv guide didn’t match the tv channels, and moving from channel to channel would take up to 10 seconds to come in. Resulting in 15 minutes or more to find something to watch. Front desk simply said “yea thats any issue here.”

Room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of outlets for charging electronics. Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was the usual options and of good quality, with friendly staff on hand to make sure we had everything we needed. I didn't care for the loud TV in the lobby blaring cable news during the morning hours - it made eating breakfast downstairs very stressful. But that was my only complaint.
