The room was very small and suffocated with not adequate airflow. The actual property did not look like the picture at all. This is a false advertising and it is a shame that hotels.com allow this. Very outdated place. The room smelled unfresh and was not cool even with aircon. The price in hotels.com was actually way higher and no refund.

Overall we had a pleasant experience at the Puri Padma Hotel. We stayed here in between hotels and it had everything we needed for one night. It is pretty central to main part of the city. It was inexpensive and had basic amenities.

Great value conventional hotel

This is a very nice, clean hotel about 3km North East if Ubud. If you are looking for a modern western style 4* hotel room with aircon, a nice bathroom and a quality shower this is the place for you. The hotel has 180 degree view if the rice paddies and valley on one side and there are great views rom the rooftop garden. The downside is that the hotel is too far from Ubud to walk and there are no other places to go on the street nearby, so you need to take the free shuttle or taxi in and out of Ubud to do anything. Hotel menu is limited after a couple of days. Overall though great value and perfect for my daughter, but I prefer a Bali bungalow style room and to be amongst it all closer to Monkey Forest Road or Jan Bisma

Beautiful views

This hotel meets western standards, has beautiful views overlooking rice fields, great relaxing area and good selection of TV channels. Staff is super nice, food is good. Hotel is located outside of the centre but you can arrange shuttle for free or ask the staff to arrange private taxi. Or you can even walk, the street is busy but safe to walk on.

I was so glad that Hotels.com recommended me Puri Padma hotel.I went back the 2nd time ( they had full occupancy,the hotel booked,arranged for me to stay in Hotel Evitel Resort Ubud...love this hotel too ( New ).

Well worth the price!

This is a simple and somewhat stylish hotel and WELL WORTH the low price. The hotel lacks the added features one comes to expect in Bali...such as a good shower, good water pressure, and a hearty breakfast. The folks at the hotel are very nice and did their best to address these issues. The views over the rice fields is a very attractive feature as is the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Very adequate and a good cheap option in the close outskirts of Ubud.

Nice new hotel outside the busy center

The hotel is situated outside the busy center. It's a 15 mins walk, or a 3 minute motorbike ride. The hotel looks nice and new, the pool (appr. 15m) is clean and the staff is friendly and willing to help with motorbike rent and transfers. Breakfast is simple but adequate. The room is small, but everything you would expect is there. The only real comment I had, was the smell from the drain in the bathroom. It smelled like sewer in the entire room. After mentioning this at the reception, someone came to fix it immediately. Unfortunately, the smell came back after two days. Other than that, no complaints and would recommend this hotel.

Nice for the price

I checked out of another hotel in Ubud early because it was so bad, I just wanted a nice clean room. It was very nice, but you do have to take a taxi everywhere. They only serve breakfast at this hotel so you do need to go into town for dinner. Very good wifi, just not in the room.

More than ok stay.

A more than ok stay. The hotel looks new. The rooms are small, but nice. The shower is nice and hot, which is not always the case in Bali. The bed was comfortable enough. My room (106) was situated just in front of the pool. I literally had to only take one step to have a swim. The pool is approximately 12m long. The only real downside was the smell from the drain in the shower. After mentioning this, the staff came imediately to fix it. The smell did return after a day or two though. Breakfast is not special, but adequate. Staff was very friendly and assisted with motorbike rental and transfer to Gili Air. Both for a fair price. The location is a 15 min walk from Ubud Centre. There is a free shuttle service a couple of times a day. Outside these times, they offer taxi service for a reasonable price. All in all, especially considering the price, I would recommend this place.
