Grand Harbour - Apartment in historic Valletta building

This unique Valletta duplex, is part of a 400-year old historical building. Situated across the road from the iconic Siege War Memorial & the Lower Barrakka Gardens where you can enjoy spectacular views of Malta's Grand Harbour. A 5-minute walk from the center of Valletta - a city buzzing with shops, restaurants, trendy bars & steeped in history. A bus stop is a few steps away. The space is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, or a family with kids.

This self catering maisonette is on 2 levels and has its own front door:
- it has a fully equipped kitchen, a small dining table and a sofa in the space downstairs.

- the bedroom upstairs has a double bed, plenty of wardrobe storage and a small balcony that overlooks a quiet Valletta street that is lined with traditional Maltese balconies.

The apartment forms part of a 17th Century building that was built with walls that are 1.2m wide.... you should feel safe enough inside! When you step outside, you are a few steps away from the spectacular views of Malta's famous Grand Harbour and The 3 Cities. You will be very centrally located within walking distance of all the Valletta attractions, and 1-minute walk from the bus stop.

Amenities include:
An ironing board, hair drier, washing machine, tumble drier, Air Conditioning, TVs with USB ports and Android box for streaming movies, series, YouTube, your Netflix account, etc. WiFi is available free of charge.

The apartment is equipped with a smoke detector, a fire extinguisher & a fire blanket, emergency light and a first aid kit - all located in the kitchen area.

This maisonette is on street level and has very few steps so is ideal for families with young children too. Please let us know if you would like us to provide you with a cot or any other requests from your little ones.

Although the apartment is in a central location in the city of Valletta, it is situated in a traditional residential street - Old Wells Street (or Triq Bjar in Maltese) which is quiet and safe at night.

The bustle of the city is just a corner away.

En centre-ville de la Valette ou tout peut se faire Ă  pied , c’est parfait pour deux personnes. La chambre est trĂšs agrĂ©able. Le sĂ©jour reste un peu sombre mais il y a tant de choses Ă  faire sur place qu’on y passe peu de temps.

I would definitely recommend this comfortable, cosy and well-situated flat to anyone who wants to explore Malta and return home to a quiet area in the evening. The owners responded quickly and efficiently to all our questions which made the trip all the more agreeable.

The property was as advertised and all utilities worked very well. Our host was extremely helpful with transportation from the airport and to the ferry terminal. If there was a drawback, given we didn’t have a car, it was a fair walk to public transportation which we used regularly.

The apartment is in an awesome location! About 100 steps to the Grand Harbor and 2 blocks away from night life and restaurants. This is a perfect place to stay in Valletta. We loved every second of it!

Valletta is a beautiful place full of character and history. Apartment well located except back street dirty with rubbish and downstairs was dingy and bathroom smelt of sewage. We also experienced some cockroaches which on first day put us off.

Excellent location

This is an excellent base for exploring all that Valetta has to offer, being steps (and I do mean steps) away from many historical landmarks and the beautiful Grand Harbour. We enjoyed our stay and had a lot of fun exploring Valetta and other areas of Malta.

Location is great; very well situated for many of the places of interest in Valletta. Arthur was very helpful in arranging an extremely good taxi service for us from and to the airport. Valletta is a very interesting and beautiful city and easy to get around. So much to see and do, we hope to go back.

It was what we expected and wanted. Property is updated although a few years ago I think. But it gave us the authentic old Valletta feel we were wanting. Out the door and old Valletta was at our feet. Good shopping, tours, restaurants, you name it. Loved our stay there and would definitely stay there again.

Loved it on Malta. Very receptive and helpful host. Will provide transportation to and from airport for a small fee. Clean apartment. A lot to do and see on Malta. Also visit Gozo. Excellent location. Highly recommend.

Our host was fabulous! Organised a taxi to collect us from the airport, offered lots of helpful tips and information. Location was fantastic - easy walking distance to main dining areas and attractions. Great value for money. Most comfortable bed we had slept in for weeks !

Location + Charm + Communication = Wonderful Stay

This was a great place to call home for our two-week stay in Malta celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The location of the apartment is convenient. We easily walked to the main city center, to the various bus stops, and, often at night, around the corner to the Lower Barraka gardens where we enjoyed an evening sitting on a bench viewing the harbor and reading our books. Two convenience stores nearby made it easy to purchase items we needed as we walked home in the evenings. The apartment is charming, just like the photos. Our one concern from viewing the photos was the shower because we knew it was located under the stairs. It wasn't as small as we feared, but had ample room, good water pressure, and good hot water. We also enjoyed sitting in the chairs upstairs relaxing in the evening after a busy day of sight-seeing. The wardrobe provided ample room for us to put away our things while the convenience of a washer helped keep us in clean clothes during our stay. I utilized the drying rack more than the dryer and was pleased to have both options. While we chose to not cook on this vacation, the apartment was fully stocked with what is needed to prepare meals. Arthur was very responsive to any questions I had. When we had trouble with the Nespresso, he gave us helpful suggestions and when that didn't work, came over to fix it. He also helpfully scheduled taxi service to and from the airport. He is an excellent host. We would stay here again!

schönes Apartment fĂŒr Sightseeing Valletta/ Malta

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt in diesem Apartment. Die Inneneinrichtung passt gut in die Umgebung, es ist zentral zur Innenstadt gelegen und ca. 15 Min. zu Fuß zum Busbahnhof, von dem aus man mit einem gut organisierten öffentlichen Nahverkehr die ganze Insel erkunden kann. 2 kleine EinkaufsmĂ€rkte sind in der NĂ€he. Die Kommunikation mit Arthur funktioniert sehr gut, er ist freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns fĂŒr An- und Abfahrt auch ein Taxi organisiert. Das Apartment ist grundsĂ€tzlich sehr ruhig gelegen (Nebenstrasse ohne Durchfahrt), nur der Schreinerbetrieb um die Ecke ist bereits frĂŒhmorgens aktiv und das Rangieren in der engen Gasse mit dem Lieferwagen verlĂ€uft leider nicht gerĂ€uschlos. Aber kein Vergleich zu den lauten Mopeds in vielen sĂŒdlĂ€ndischen InnenstĂ€dten! An die unzĂ€hligen Tauben, welche sich in den historischen HĂ€userfassaden eingenistet haben, muss man sich auch erst einmal gewöhnen. Die Anwohner nehmen es jedoch gelassen đŸ€·â€â™€ïžđŸ€·đŸ»â€â™‚ïž Fazit: Wir wĂŒrden das App. jederzeit wieder buchen.

CUTE CONVENIENT APARTMENT

We really enjoyed our stay in this charming apartment located close to grocery stores and to downtown Valletta. Arthur, our host, arranged our taxi both from and to the airport and was always available to solve any problems. The apartment was well furnished. However, we did have a few issues with pots and pans being too large for 2 people and the only coffee maker was the pod type. We would have preferred a french press or similar. The electric kettle did not work but Arthur replaced it promptly. Our main issue was the kitchen tap which leaked constantly and was extremely inconvenient. Our only other issue was the TV which was not really available to us as we live in Canada and the systems are not compatible. Overall, we had a wonderful time in this cute little apartment.

Perfect location

This cozy apartment is located in a perfect location: near the wharf and rapid ferry departing point, a few blocks from the Valletta main attractions and the buses terminal. The apartment is perfect for a couple and included a washer and dryer, which is infrequent. Arthur, your host, is extremely helpful and respond to your queries immediately. Overall, this property is an excellent base from where to explore Malta.

der Gastgeber, der sich per mail und bei auftretendem "Problem" sofort in Englisch perfekt kĂŒmmerte. Einfach Super!!! KĂŒmmerte sich auch um die Abholung am Flughafen. Objekt: sehr gĂŒnstig in Valetta gelegen, alle SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten fußlĂ€ufig erreichbar (max 15 min). Gelegen im EG eines alten/antiken Hauses in ruhiger Sackgasse, perfekter KĂŒchenraum mit allen gebrĂ€uchlichen E-GerĂ€ten. diese recht neue. Nettes "Willkommenspaket". Ambiente: rustikale SteinwĂ€nde, z.T. auch verputzt, gut begehbare Treppe zum "Schlafzimmer". Sehr bequemes Doppelbett. Fazit: perfekt fĂŒr 2 und einem Aufenthalt fĂŒr ca. 1 Woche. Kann man nur ausdrĂŒcklich empfehlen (nicht fĂŒr 1st class Luxusreisende). P.S. Sehr kleines Duschbad mit Toilette. Baulich bedingt.

Stunning Stay in Malta

This two-level unit is in the heart of everything in Valletta, but quiet enough to provide some good rest as well. Just a minute or two walk from the Lower Barrakka Gardens, and half a block from the stunning harbor, the unit is very well appointed with a comfy couch and chair, full kitchen, and bathroom on the first floor; and a gorgeous bedroom occupying the entire top floor. There is even a small balcony to enjoy morning coffee or an evening cocktail. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator in case you want to cook your own meals and a washer/dryer. The unit comes with a very informative booklet with instructions for the unit and recommendations for the surrounding area, which was very helpful. The unit owner was communicative and very helpful before and during our stay - he even arranged transportation from the airport for us, which greatly eased our minds. A short walk along the grid of little streets in Valletta will get you anywhere you want to go and a vast range of food, drink, and shopping. A wonderful stay!
