Quiet hilltop guest house with great views

Hilltop guest house with easy access to I-15 freeway. This two story, fully furnished house with spacious rooms and beautiful views from both levels has two balconies and sits on three acres of avocado and fruit trees. Has gazebo, fountains, 20x40 pool (not heated and not warm enough for swimming November to early June), private patio overlooking valley and hills. This vacation home offers you the choice to just relax and enjoy the quiet, beautiful area or you are only four miles from the freeway and all that San Diego and Temecula have to offer. Beaches 20 miles away. Seaworld and Zoo 40 miles away. Wild Animal Park 30 minutes, and Disneyland only 75 miles away.

The kids loved it so much they said they’d like to make it a yearly tradition and come back to the same home every year. Lovely!

we had an amazing Thanksgiving stay at Mel & Tina’s place! the house was super clean, and they provided everything we needed. the upstairs light was out when we arrived, and the second I told them about it, it was fixed eight away. I always got responses within 5-10 minutes of messaging, and we felt extremely comfy. my boyfriend and I stayed in the upstairs bedroom and it was sooo comfortable. the views during the day and the stars at night were a nice added bonus also 😍. the trek up the hill is worse at night, but wasn’t too bad after the first night and we got used to it quickly. would absolutely book this house again! thank you, Mel & Tina for a wonderful stay!

incredible view & pool.

This rental was everything we needed but one of the best side was the view and the pool. good location to visit the area. the house was well equiped and clean. outside space was incredible and so relaxing. I enjoyed driving the 2 miles mountain road to get up there as the scenery is wonderful.

We had a wonderful time. The views and property are gorgeous. We loved spending time by/in the pool and the house had everything we needed. Most days we traveled into the San Diego area for beach and tourist activities and the 45 min- 1 hour drive worked out just fine for us.

Great stay with great views

We absolutely loved this property! We are a family of 7 and we all enjoyed our stay here. It felt like a trip to the cabin with beautiful views. I enjoyed my coffee every morning on the back patio with the views and peace and quiet. Mel was friendly and we felt very welcomed. I loved how the outside of the property was decorated and the inside living room felt like home. We were able to relax, make food and spend time together with no problems. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Family Getaway

This property was amazing. Beautiful view, a nice backyard eating/sitting area, BBQ grill, and of course the pool. Mel and Tina were so nice. They checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Mel was even nice enough to show us around some of his car collection. The house was well kept and well stocked with everything we needed, including pool towels, board games, yard games, a cooler, and even an air bed. The pool was clean and we had a lot of fun playing in the pool every afternoon/evening. We had such a great time at this amazing house. We hope to be back soon!

A quiet peace of heaven in SoCal

We stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks in July '23 with 2 adults and 5 kids aging 6-14. The house was very clean, we had everything we needed. The pool is rather large, we spend a lot of time there, it's also clean and very well maintained. The view over the canyon is stunning. We are hard working people and really enjoyed how quiet and beautiful it is up there. Having your morning coffee on the patio with still a bit of fog around the hill is something we'll never forget. A special thanks goes out to the owner Mel, who was extremely friendly and showed us his oldtimers, told their stories and didn't get tired from all the questions the kids were asking. Concerning those reviews that complain about the road that leads to the house I have to say that everybody with a drivers licencse should easily be able to drive up there. If you want a house on the top of a hill, you need to drive a sometimes narrow road. We had no problems whatsoever in our Suburban. All in all it was the best place we rented so far in the US. The kids loved it, our absolute recommendation !

Quiet, Comfortable, Nice View, Difficult Access

This house is located in the mountains on a narrow road that snakes its way along the mountainside with some switch backs. It takes about 10 minutes to drive this winding 2 mile road with white knuckles. If a car comes from the other direction, one driver has to pull to the side and hug the road and stop for the other to squeeze by (just to illustrate the road width). Its a little uncomfortable if you're not used to it, especially with one side of the road often on a cliff edge. Once you get to the property, the view is quite beautiful. You won't have that view of the pool. That pic of the pool is taken from the owners home. There is no view of the pool from the actual house you will be staying in. The pool is not far, you just can't see it so that's misleadng. The house itself is good. Spacious enough. Comfortable. Everything worked. It's just that if you are looking for convenient access, this is not the place. We were not expecting the remoteness of the location so it was a little inconvenient for us. Overall, the house is good. Pretty much everything one NEEDS is there. It is a guest house, so the owners live on site. The owners were super nice and friendly. We only saw them once in the 8 days we were there.
