The hotel itself is quite nice but dated. The location is very ideal and close to nearly everything you could imagine. The rooms were very spacious , we were traveling as a family with a dog so we appreciated that very much. The room had a few small things that could have been cleaner- a scum ring around the sink, the sliding glass windows were dirty, minor stuff but I did notice. Again a bit dated. The pool was nice, hot tub was nicer. The towels ran out when we arrived and staff had 50 or so towels delivered for the full pool that was very nice. My only real negative to say of this hotel was- 3 of 4 elevators were working during our whole visit. On check out time this became a real issue, one of the elevators was “stuck in 18” as I overheard from one of the bell hops. Leaving 2 elevators for people to check out, but then at the same time bell hops were taking peoples luggage down and perhaps blocking other floors from being able to use it? I’m not sure but for some reason we were left with 1 working elevator for 3 ppl and a dog. Every floor was loaded with ppl trying to leave. It took us 15 minutes to get off our floor and we had to split our family in two trips because it was so full.

Nice big 1 bedder suite. Sofa bed was pretty comfortable. Comes with fully equipped kitchen, and very convenient with a supermarket (IGA) just beside the hotel. My kids loved the room. Staff was very pleasant as well. The hotel had 3 Self serve washers (CAD$3) and 3 dryers (CAD$2) which is very convenient for us. Seems to be in pretty high utilisation. I usually used them earlier in the morning which all washers and dryers were available. Hotel location was very convenient in the heart of downtown Vancouver in the shopping district. Metro was well within walking distances and many choices for good food!

Carpets were very gross and sticky. Pillows were terrible. Barely any stuffing. There was a leak in the ceiling above the kitchen sink. It was a slow drip. The walls were kind of dirty and sticky. One of the water hotels water bottles presented on the kitchen table was previously opened and drank out of. One of the elevators didn’t work. The pool was cloudy. Staff was friendly, I’d say average. I’ve stayed here quite a few times and this will be the last. We’ve always liked it but the cleanliness standards and general condition of the property have really dropped in the last 6 months.
