This is budget hotel. I mean very basic. Room not much bigger than bed but bed was very comfortable. Floor was clean. Has airconditioning but took me two weeks to figure how to use it! Large ceiling fan was great. Backs up to alley and construction noise was there but they stopped at sunset. Had elevator but only fit one person! Location was hard to find. Had to walk quite a distance uphill from where taxi dropped off because the road is so congested with scooters and pedestrians that cars were not allowed. Ask or look for "Lakshmi Chai Wala". Locals know that and that is the entrance of the alley off the street since the hotel is on an alley and not the main street. Was able to use Google Maps to find first time. Then took pictures of the entrance and adjacent shops so was easy to find again. Location is perfect for walking to cremation grounds and Golden Shiva temple. About 20-30 minute walk to evening aarti on the Ganga (very famous). Hotel staff very friendly but usually only one spoke English. Translator app really helped. They provided bottled water every day. There was hot water in the bathroom for showing but only a quick one since tank is small. Overall, for the location, cleanliness and friendliness I would recommend and stay there again myself. Felt very safe for lone, older female traveler.
