Owner was incredibly kind and helpful, also the location is spectacular being right along the tram/bus line. Additionally there are a few restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance.

Most amazing Stay On Our Whole Europe Trip

This was the most amazing stay on our whole Europe trip. The owner Chiara was extremely helpful, and spent a while giving us local details on visiting Venice. The room was decent sized and had lots of storage space. The elevator was great for moving our bags in. Great parking in the back. The breakfast was delicious! We bought our tram & vaporetto pass at the nearby shop Chiara told us about. The room was clean and we had 2 large windows to look out. It doesn't get any better than this at this price point!

Red Lion Guest house was great. The rooms were exactly as pictured. The owners are very nice. I let the owner know what time I was arriving and he met me to show me the property and tell me the best ways to get around the city. They had a nice spread every morning for breakfast. The tram stop is right outside and will take you directly to the island in about 20 minutes. There is also an amazing pizza place across the street. It was hands-down the best pizza we had in Italy.

The property is newly renovated and tastefully decorated. Hosts Chiara & Gabriele were absolutely marvelous and so helpful. The guesthouse is a little far from Venice center but the tram is only 2 minutes walk across the street and takes 45 minutes to get to the water bus station where you can take different lines to various attractions in Venice. The only negative about the guest house is that there are not too many restaurants within walking distance at the location. Breakfast was simple but very health-conscious.

This lovely guest house in an historical building, has been well-designed for their guests comfort with clean, spacoiys, bright modern rooms with modern conveniences, including a lift to get luggage to and from upper level, double-glazed windows with shutters to insulate against noise and light. The bed and pilliws was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and the hostess knowledgeable and friendly. The location was excellent--just steps away from main tram line to the historic tourist sites and easily accessible from main train station via Mestro Centro. We stay with them again and highly recommend to others.

This is the place!

EXCELLENT. Lots of room, perfect location, easy everything. We asked Chiara about a scale to weigh our luggage and she bought one and put it in our room. Gabriel met us within 5 minutes of our arrival. Tratorria da Olinda down the road is lovely. The tram ride is easy and near. There are laundry, gelateria, market, eateries all close. Chiara and Gabriel truly make you feel welcomed. Oh, and airport really is easy access from here.

It was a great place to stay. Very clean and beautiful tasteful decor. YOu can feel pride of ownership! Gabriel, Chiara, and Pietro were so friendly and helpful. It is off the beaten path but if you are traveling by car you have parking and the convenience of public tram stop that takes you right to the island of Venice! for only 3 euro return! and takes only about 25 minutes. Well worth it. The rooms were very comfortable cosy and clean. The beds are very comfortable too!! With air conditioning. Very modern and newly renovated historic home. I loved this place and will return again.

So it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is the most delightful guest house! Here is what we loved: Free parking in the back. The tram into Venice is right across the street and the tabacco shop (where you buy the tram and vaporetto tickets) is just a block away. There is a great restaurant across the street and a grocery store is a block away. The owners are truly a delight. We mentioned that we enjoy cheese and prosciutto for breakfast and she said they don't usually offer it because most tourists don't eat it, but she had it for us the next morning. We also have a son with Celiac disease and she had a nice variety of things for him to choose from at breakfast. There is an elevator. There is a code to the back door so getting in and out is easy (the owners don't live on-site). The guest house is very clean. The shower is a good size and there was lots of hot water. The downside: Our room had a slanted ceiling and we all bumped our heads a time or two. While the tram is very convenient, it is a ways out from the Venice station. However, it's mostly locals riding the tram and it was fun to rub shoulders with them. And DO buy a ticket to ride the tram. Tram officials got on with us and checked everyone's tickets. One couple on board hadn't gotten a ticket and they got a pretty hefty fine.

Es ist eine kleine sehr gemütliche Unterkunft man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben. Hier bedeutet es noch was Kunde zu sein! Das Frühstück war echt super. Und der beste Dank geht Giulia sie hat alles so angenehm wie möglich gemacht vom Frühstück bis hin zu jeglicher fragen hat sie geholfen! Spitze gerne wieder.
