Dairy Barn is a luxury 5* Gold Award 3-bedroom barn conversion in an idyllic rural setting within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB). A perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the surrounding beauty of St Martin's Down, South Down and Wroxall Down and their associated flora and fauna.

Dairy Barn was built in the 1800s of traditional stone as a dairy parlour but was tastefully converted to a holiday unit in 2005 and since when it has been maintained to a very high standard. With a fully equipped kitchen, sunny lounge, separate dining room and 3 en-suite bedrooms all with King size beds on the first floor, it has everything you will possibly need to relax and enjoy your stay in comfort.

Dairy Barn is located on a 950-acre Aberdeen Angus working farm well known for its conservation both nationally and internationally. Miles of public rights of way criss-cross the all-grassland farm or within a few yards of the property from which you can explore the local countryside on foot or by bike and enjoy the magnificent landscapes the Island has to offer.

Although "hidden away" in such an idyllic and rural location, it is only a short drive away from the popular seaside resorts of Ventnor, Shanklin and Sandown and the many other attractions the Island has to offer.

THE PROPERTY IS ON A WORKING FARM, SO UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE ACCEPT CHILDREN UNDER 12 (except babes in arms). It is also not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility issues as the bedrooms are all located on the first floor via a stair case with no lift. Lovely well appointed house with generous welcome hamper filled with local foods and drink. Soaps and shampoos etc in the bathrooms and cloakroom. Lots to see and do in the local area and our host was superb, communicating well and greeting us the first evening to show us the ropes. A wonderful stay in all respects.

Beautiful spacious property in quiet location

Perfect property

Dairy Barn lived up to all the good reviews. Very comfortable with every possible thing you could need. It's in a great corner of the Island too, with superb walking from the door but lots of other attractions in easy reach. Very peaceful, and we will certainly hope to return.

Fabulous property

This large, comfortable house has everything you need. Sally the property manager gave us a warm welcome and was at hand if we had any questions. The weather was very mixed during our stay but there is so much to see and do close at hand. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Luxuriously equipped Barn conversion in Wroxall

We had a brilliant week staying at the Dairy Barn, which was gorgeous in every way; with a selection of yummies and drinks as a welcome treat and a fully equipped kitchen where we self catered all week. We used the Barn as a base for exploring this corner of the island on foot and further afield by car. The farm hand showed two of our group around the farm and met some of the cows, which they absolutely loved. It was a brilliant Dairy Barn for a fabulous week.

Great week at the Dairy Barn

Thanks for a delightful stay. The Dairy Barn is in a lovely location, beneath Wroxall Down. The property is spacious and very well equipped. Sally the property manager was very helpful. The property is in a very quiet rural location, but is still convenient for Ventnor and everywhere on the island. There are good walks on the Downs starting from the house. Ross, the farm manager, took us for a very interesting tour around the farm where we admired the herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle. And the weather was warm and sunny.

The Dairy Barn

I wish we could have stayed longer. Three days was not enough. The Dairy Barn was just amazing. Comfortable, close to areas we wanted to explore and so peaceful. We had evening and morning birdsong to lull us to sleep and to wake. There were wonderful paths to follow and explore, beautiful sunsets from the top of the pasture. Sally and Michael were so kind, leaving a perfect welcome basket. If I could give 10 stars I would. We hope to be back to the Isle of Wight and we will definitely stay again.

Blissful stay in quiet luxury

Beautiful house just south of Wroxall village on a farm. The house is really comfortable and spacious, with room to relax, spotless living areas, bedrooms and bayhrooms, and a fabulous well equipped kitchen. We were welcomed by a hamper of local produce, which was much appreciated, and we found everything one could want in the houseto make our stay a success. Locally we were close to Ventnor, and the road south around the coast which was very scenic. We visited the Garlic farm, vineyard, and Quarr Abbeyas well as the Needles area, although the weather was too stormy to enjoy it properly! The grassy area opposite the house looks perfect for hot days, and the courtyard outside was also great for informal lunch or drinks. Sally and co. have made us very welcome. We loved staying at the Dairy barn, and would highly recommend it.

Perfect hideaway with everything thought of

Perfect spot to spend a few days in wonderful peace and quiet. Everything you could ever need has been thought of even down to torches at the bedside (it is a rural farm after all) Quality fixtures and furnishings throughout with the kitchen a particular call out. A welcome pack greets you at the door with Sally and Ross on hand for any help you might need.

Our x2 17 year olds and 13 yr old gave this holiday the thumbs up - they are harsh critics! Everyone who facilitated our stay made it very straightforward - booking/setting up the cottage for our family, dropping into say hi on arrival, available if required - thanks Sally. Friendly introduction and chat with owners - thanks. Great neighbours with an interest in showing us over the farm - thanks both at the Hay Loft. Quiet but not isolated. Private, spacious, and well equip with quality products (not tired or rent weary). Close to all activities/beaches. A real delight. An absolute gem of a property

Where do we start... from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we couldn't fault the property. It was so clean, extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and spacious yet with a cosy feeling. The garden and surrounding areas were stunning.
