Eclectic vibe. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Staff were great! The on-site Pub was a good time. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Very walkable to harbor area. Close to Beacon Hill park, which is a wonderful walking place. No elevator, if that's a concern.

Unique property, full of character. Restaurant operated separately - had an excellent breakfast. My room was by the garbage pick up area so some noise in morning. Would go back.

Very quaint. Had the "innkeeper" feel - felt very safe being a female travelling on my own. Loved being able to leave my car in the parking lot during the day after checking out and walking all around the James Bay area.
Would definitely stay there again.
Small rooms for those whom that would matter to.

The James Bay Experience

And at the centre of our stays is the welcoming and home style experience in this still going strong 120 year old hotel. The attached and very reasonable priced pub, restaurant, and bookable party room with long-serving staff we know well are a key part of it
