AS SEEN ON FIXER UPPER "THE BRICK HOUSE"
"THE BRICK HOUSE" AS SEEN ON FIXER UPPER SEASON 3 EPISODE 2. CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN WACO, BAYLOR UNIVERSITY, MAGNOLIA SILOS, MAGNOLIA TABLE, CAMERON PARK/ ZOO, DR. PEPPER MUSEUM, MAMMOTH NATIONAL PARK, TEXAS RANGER MUSEUM AND MUCH MORE. Originally built in 1927, this house has original hardwood floors and shiplap! The original brick is still exposed in the kitchen, adding the cutest charm to the home. Beautifully restored by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Come stay and see all that Waco has to offer!
This property is beautiful, clean, the two of us girls felt very safe, it was comfortable, communication was great and the location was central to everywhere we wanted to be! On day 1 we watched the Fixer Upper episode (season 3, ep. 2) from the living room of the âbrick houseâ which was so much fun! We did all things Magnolia, went antiquing and had pedicures in swings! Thanks for a great experience all around!
Lovely home in Old Waco. Downstairs is very comfortable. Upstairs bathroom is small and low ceiling in some places but bed was very comfortable and AC units worked well. Recommend.
My friends and I came to Waco for one of their birthdays. The house is in a nice neighborhood. Check in went well. The house is clean and comfortable. It was really neat to stay in a Fixer Upper house. Would definitely recommend.
Our impression of the property is good. We had a good experience, it was wonderful to actually get to stay in a property from the "Fixer Upper" TV program. We do have some comments. The house on the exterior has had some changes since its renovation. We wish it would have been kept to original appearance. The landscaping has been let go over time. The interior of the home could use a thorough cleaning. We were not expecting to have to bring certain supplies, for example, shampoo. This was not communicated with us.
We loved The Brick House! It was so wonderful to stay 4 nights in a real Chip & Jo home from Fixer Upper and it totally lived up to my expectations. The home was clean and in a fine neighborhood. Very close to all things Magnolia and the Silos. We loved having Discovery Plus so we could watch all the shows about the places we were visiting. The host was great and very communicative and quickly fixed one check-in hiccup that was not her fault. This is an old home and a rental property, so everything isnât perfect, but that didnât detract from our love of staying here! Absolutely would stay again!
No toiletries were provided - shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bath soap. Had to go purchase those. Internet EXTREMELY slow, upstairs shower barely a trickle. Decor was lacking. Exterior landscaping mostly bare. If youâre looking for a true Magnolia/fixer upper experience, this is not it.
Loved this place! We especially enjoyed watching the Fixer Upper episode while being IN the very house we are watching! Everything was clean, and orderly. If I make it to Waco again, I'll stay again!
This home was beautiful, clean, and located close to many Waco activities. Check in process was very simple and the home was very accomadating for our 3 night stay. Although we had 4 adults on our trip, this home would be great for familes with children as well.
We came here with friends to catch a game at the new basketball stadium. The check in process was great. The house was clean except when we got into the bedrooms. There were ventilation, dirt and other misc. stuff that was on the floors and on the beds from the vents. Well around 3 am that night our friends heard something scurrying around in the walls and couldn't sleep. I called the manager that morning and she said they had had a squirrel problem. Didn't try to give us money back or really apologize for the mess or our friends not being able to sleep. And they had said they've been dealing with it before. I felt like good customer service could have been giving us some money back or act a little more empathetic to a problem they knew about.
We had a great visit at the Brick House celebrating my mother's milestone birthday with my sister. Perfect size for the 3 of us, clean and comfortable. It was centrally located to all the Magnolia and Waco activities. Thanks again for a wonderful and memorable stay!
House was amazing. If you're going to Waco for Magnolia events/activities, this is a great house. Plenty of room and owner more than accommodating. Great communications.
Only negative was loft upstairs very hot in summer time. Not sure there's air conditioning to that area.
The property was close to restaurants, shopping and Baylor. Far enough away that you didnât hear traffic and had a cozy neighborhood feel. Would stay there again.
This property owner is trying to bank on the attraction of Fixer Upper, as expected, but has put very little upkeep and effort into the property. A musty smell hits you as soon as you open the front door. The windows all contained huge cobwebs and the shower curtain is stained because the liner isn't long enough to keep it from getting wet. The property sleeps 6 but there were only TWO wash clothes in the entire home. The window in the bathroom does not contain a blind, only a sheer white curtain. We had to rig bath towels up to the window as the neighbors window is very close. Every container of hand soap had so much water added to it that you couldn't make suds. We had to go to Wal-Mart and buy wash clothes and hand soap. To be fair, we didn't contact the property manager, but we shouldn't have had to for these items. The house is cute and we had a good time in Waco, but the charm will wear out very quickly for this property if someone doesn't take care of it soon. We wouldn't stay a second time.
The property was just as pictured in the listing! It had everything that you could need. About the only thing I would say is that they could put shades on the windows in the loft bedroom as it was 109 degrees during our stay and the sun was beating in through the windows making it very hot. There was a fan and A/C to help cool it down but I think it would be a great help to have a shade and also for privacy. Other than that, absolutely perfect for our needs! Super close to the Silos and everywhere we wanted to go in Waco! Host was super responsive when I needed to reach out to her. Overall, excellent on all points and would definitely stay here on my next stay in Waco!
We enjoyed our 1 night stay when we visited Magnolia Farms. Super easy to get to and no problems checking in! The place wasnât clean when we first got there but the owner quickly responded and got a maid there to clean the place and even gave us some money for dinner for our troubles. Would definitely stay there again!!
