Green Door Lofts -Magnolia Loft, Silos/Downtown

Green Door Lofts, featured on Fixer Upper `Urban Loft Challenge` and referred to as `Funky Town` by Chip, is a 9-unit luxury loft complex in the heart of Waco`s bustling Silo District. We are next door to the historic Hippodrome Dinner Theater and steps away from eclectic shops, antique stores, wine tasting rooms, and live music. Magnolia Market is an easy walk away, or take the free trolley that stops outside. Each loft is crafted with a unique flair and offers a distinct experience.



The Magnolia Loft is a fun, unique loft home where Magnolia style and urban living merge into a fun, funky vibe. There are two bedrooms, each with a comfy king-sized bed with pressed, triple-sheeted linens. In the living room there is wall-mounted queen-sized Murphy bed. The loft has an in-unit washer/dryer. Guests will also love the fully-equipped kitchen, complete with coffee, tea, and of course my mom`s cinnamon rolls. Entertainment includes a 65 inch SmartTV with Direct TV/Netflix. Each bedroom also has Direct TV. Cool LED lighting in the living room helps set the mood for any occasion. Please note, this loft is a larger two bedroom unit that sits toward the rear of my building on the second floor. If you are fans of `Fixer Upper` you will recognize this unit as the loft that Chip really liked, but was at the back of the complex. I have three additional units on the second floor that are one bedroom units that are toward the front. These are the Tuna, Urban Cowboy, and Retro lofts. I can also suggest a very nice first floor unit that has 3 bedrooms at the front of the property, the Stained Glass Loft.



The building`s courtyard has a seasonally HEATED pool with lounge chairs and tables. The mezzanine deck overlooks the avenue below - perfect for people watching!



A unique code for keyless entry makes check-in and check-out flexible and convenient. The owner lives on-site and can be reached by cell phone any time. We`re happy to provide suggestions for local eateries and activities, in addition to the loft`s information guide.



Step next door for the historic Waco Hippodrome Theatre or continue down the street for eclectic shops, wine tasting rooms, live music, and the infamous, Magnolia Market. Waco`s free trolley stops outside the loft before carrying on to the Silos.



Downtown Waco has plenty of free street parking and Ubers are readily available. We have a free parking garage on the first floor for our guests. The loft is walking distance to shops and restaurants. We are directly on the free trolley route for shopping around the Silos.



The Magnolia Loft is on the second floor and accessed only by stairs. If this is an issue, please consider our 3 bedroom listing on the first floor.

Amazing Waco Stay

This is hands down the best vrbo I've ever stayed in! The loft was incredibly well appointed - Jim has thought of everything. He even provided coffee, filters & creamer in the fridge; We had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, and the sheets were to die for. The location of the lofts was absolutely perfect! Easy walking distance to Magnolia and lots of amazing restaurants. The private garage parking was also a major perk. We would absolutely stay here again!

Girls trip for Silobration and birthday

We were in town for a girls trip with my good friend and my two daughter in loves to celebrate my birthday and enjoy Silobration. The Magnolia loft was exactly as the pictures showed. Jim is a very detailed oriented and attentive host. From providing his phone number, to helping us find a restaurant open after our flight got delayed four hours- you can tell he wants his guest to feel welcomed in his town and in his lofts. There were plenty of pillows, blankets, seating, coffee, even a couple of small fans which we greatly appreciated. He has a notebook full of menus to local restaurants and things to do/see. Parking in the garage was a huge perk for us too. The lofts are only a half a mile to the Magnolia Silos, great restaurants and cute shops. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for making us feel welcomed in Waco!

Just as described and better!

Location to Silos is a few blocks away, well within walking distance. It is also close to several eateries and coffee shops. It is clean, well decorated and better stocked than most other VRBO’s we have stayed at. The loft owner is courteous, accommodating, and very responsive. Check in was easier with better communication than other VRBO’s, as was the check out process. We couldn’t recommend this loft more.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Waco

We came to Waco for our annual girls weekend. The location of the Green Door Lofts was perfect for all the main things to do in Waco or a short drive for a few of the other things we wanted to do. Jim the host, was extremely helpful with restaurant and shopping suggestions. Our room included everything you possible need, Jim really goes above and beyond with his rentals, best one I have stayed in yet.

Hard to put into words how incredible the Green Door Lofts are!

From the moment you walk into the property you are greeted with the sites and smells of beautiful central Texas. An oasis in the center of a revitalized downtown Waco. Jim is a gracious host and wins the award for most attentive host. He has incredible first hand knowledge concerning the local history, where to dine, where to recreate and how to take of advantage of the local area for relaxation. With all it has to offer including: Magnolia, magnificent Baylor University, arts (the Hippodrome is right next door), a farmer's market, incredible food and more, Waco is truly becoming a destination City. Words simply cannot express the wonder that is the Green Door Lofts. Don't delay, book a stay ASAP. I know I will be back.

Celebration of daughter’s upcoming wedding

My 3 daughters & I came to enjoy time together before our daughters wedding. It was our first trip to Waco & being huge Fixer Upper fans, we wanted to find a place close to Magnolia Market. Our stay in The Magnolia room at Green Door was amazing. Our host Jim was welcoming & offered lots of great suggestions. His property is beautiful, inviting & impeccably clean. An Oasis in Waco

My mom and 2 daughters wanted to visit Waco and all things Magnolia. I found this INCREDIBLE loft with a fabulous pool in the heart of the city. We were across the street from a wonderful indoor food truck-ish venue. We ate there several times. Magnolia was only 2 blocks away. A very easy short walk. The pool was always shaded and such a fun way to relax after shopping around. The owner of the lofts is always helpful and accommodating. You will feel like you are at home and an upscale resort all at the same time. We LOVED it!!

This is our 2nd stay at the Green door lofts! We love it! Jim is an amazing host! We have stayed in the Uban Cowboy and Magnolia and both were beautifully decorated and spotless. We loved the cinnamon rolls left for us by Jims mom! Couldn't have asked for a better stay! Location was perfect for walking to the Magnolia market and all the boutiques!

This place is perfect! Walkable to the Silos, the Suspension Bridge, Balcones distillery, the farmers’ market, and so many restaurants and shops. We would definitely come back!!!

My buddy and I came to town to surf the wave pool and my wife wanted to come for the shopping. The place was perfect all the way around. The owner was THE BEST.
