Well laid out and spacious property. Struggling a little with damp which was evident by smell in late October but not impacting upon the holiday at all. Navigation for checkin in the dark was tricky and itâs worth double checking you know where to go prior to arrival -street view is misleading.
We chose this property as its all on one level , however there are steps up ro this place of which we didn't know about.
The accommodation at the rear has no sound proofing what so ever from the apartments above and you can here absolutely everything that goes off upstairs even toilets being used and flushed very poor! This property could be amazing ,all furniture very worn and uncomfortable , bathrooms very shabby damp and mould on ceiling and tiles, rusty towel rail and radiator , dated kitchen ( plenty of utensils though) outside furniture very worn and some broken and decking very slippy. Web details say it has a log burner however its now an electric fake burner. This property is in serious need of a full refurbishment and could be an amazing place to stay ! maybe a regular check on the condition of this property and its contents would eliminate a lot of these issues.
Palm Trees accommodation was marketed as 4 stars. This rating way off mark property needs upgrading
We have been in touch with Cornwall Hideaways. We contacted them on the day of our arrival.
Palm Trees is very tired and we felt it had been mis sold to us as 4 star accommodation
We booked the house for ourselves and other friends, and felt embarrassed with the standard of the property for our group
We did contact Cornwall Hideaways on arrival, the window in the main bedroom was broken wouldn't close and there was a problem in the shower room with a bunged up plug. both issues were sorted out on the day. CH knew we were very unhappy with the house, and have apologised, and thanked us for our review and feedback!!
Properties for let should be regularly checked. some of the patio furniture was broken and unsafe and the BBQ old with burns on lid. The place is shabby and not 'shabyy chique' and in need of complete upgrade and deep clean
We also sent photographs to Cornwall Hideaways, to which we have had no response.
Can't fault location, comfy property, has loads of cookware items. Would have loved some deck chairs or sun loungers for the garden but that may be due to covid rules! Lovely walks close by, along coastal path also to St Enodoc Church. We will be back.

Great stay
Palm Trees was just ideal for our family weekend break, elderly parents, and their 3 children with other halves.
Very spacious, light , warm and very well equipped with everything you needed.
Short walk to the beach and local cafes, shops etc.
Shame the weather wasn't kind for us but we had fun.

Great location, size and layout.
Plus points: Great location, great amount of space and excellent facilities. Perfect for a group or large family, particularly the huge lounge leading to a dining area and deck. On this basis I would recommend it. Sadly the child staying in the flat above us woke regularly at 6am and rode a trike round and round. This disturbed the sleep of guests in 2 bedrooms who ended up on sofas in the lounge. The large ensuite double bed dipped slightly in the middle and the dining room table had a very sticky finish making it unpleasant to sit at. There were small areas of mould growing around a few windows. I've never left a review with partial negativity before but it was a lot of money to pay considering the issues. I understand that children wake early and noisy neighbours can't be predicted or prevented. Such a shame because it was a great space and location. Saying all this I would stay here again if I couldnt find anywhere else large enough for a big group.
Our stay was spoiled by the fact the property was not as clean we we expect, but worse due to the amount of mould around the property. It is clearly an issue as there are instructions to leave the windows open whenever possible, but this is not good enough. A good location so close to the beach, but we would not stay here again as the photos do not tell the true story of this property.
