There's a restaurant on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. Public spaces have free WiFi. The boutique The Bell in Ticehurst also features a terrace, a garden, and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available.
The Bell Inn is a fabulous example of a quirky and eccentric coaching inn incomparable to any other. Fabulous attention to detail, beautiful luxurious rooms. We would have no hesitation in recommending. However be prepared if you stay in the main hotel rooms to either stay up in the bar until it closes or to listen to every word and every cheers from the comfort of your own room.
We booked to stay as it was near to Wadhurst Castle where we were attending a wedding. The room was The Yew and Eye. Spotlessly clean and a lovely area out the front to sit and enjoy a drink. Very quirky but charming. The welcome at reception and talk through in the room was excellent. The young lady even took a few moments out of her very busy day to give us a brief history of the pub. The bar was busy but well staffed. Breakfast was ample , fresh and most welcome
All was good except the non-stop music which was quite loud and intrusive at times, even at breakfast. Service, quality and value were excellent. The rooms was really quirky and fun.
Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing weâve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. A huge marvellous and stylish shower. Gardens, bars, reception and restaurants are all full of delights and the staff are so friendly! Great communication in advance. Would love to stay for longer and highly recommend.
We had issues with the room ( not up to standard for the price paid) ) but these were addressed and sorted out the receptionist Em was very professional and helpful. Food at the hotel was disappointing.. very expensive very small servings and rather tasteless. The pub itself is gorgeous with fires and cozy areas to sit and staff are lovely.
The room was cleaned everyday with fresh cookies next to the tean and coffee maker. The pub has certainly retained its old charm. Food was excellent. For someone from london paying less for beer was a welcome change
From the moment we walked in we had a warm welcome, expecially our dog. Lovely room, very comfortable and great dinner and breakfast. Our whole stay just felt special. Thank you for looking after us so well.
