Disappointing Breakfast Service and Basic Rooms The rooms were very basic, which would have been acceptable had the advertised services matched reality. Prior to booking, it was stated that breakfast was available. However, upon check-in I was informed that only two small breakfast bags were provided as a complimentary gesture for our three-night stay, with any extras costing $20 each. When I questioned this, staff explained that a proper breakfast service was usually offered at their sister hotel, but it was currently closed for renovations until the end of September. This important detail was not made clear at the time of booking. To add to the confusion, the in-room documents still advertised breakfast options. The breakfast bags themselves were underwhelming — more suited to a kindergarten lunchbox than hotel guests — and there was no crockery or cutlery provided in the room to even use them properly. The room phone did not work, so I was unable to contact reception directly. When I went to reception to discuss the matter, the reception desk was unattended. While there was a phone available to call for assistance, by that point the lack of communication and clarity had become too frustrating I gave up. Overall, the experience was let down by misleading information and poor service around something as simple as breakfast and also poor house keeping , which left a disappointing impression of the stay.

Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. It is easy walking to the Main Street. Helpful and friendly staff. The shower was a bit of a pain with low pressure and changing temperatures, otherwise it was a pleasant stay.
