Was happy to find a room at this popular location during a busy end of summer season. Staff was friendly, the walk-in shower was new, and the sink and counter were clean. Fridge stayed cold, which was great. Downside: No elevator, and we were on the second floor. Expensive for what we got. Overall looked pretty run down. Old carpet throughout and the carpet in my room was visibly dirty (?forgot to vacuum). My bottom bed sheet had a quarter-size hole in it that looked like someone tried to darn or sew it. Same with the top sheet, but smaller holes..The bathroom fan made a horrible noise when I turned it on, so didn't use it. Bed was rather hard, but not awful. I might look harder for a different place next time.

Courteous, friendly, professional staff. Appears to have recently updated room bathroom/sink areas. Carpet and mattresses hopefully are next. Carpet on stairs should be replaced. Convenient location for our weekend plans.

Nice place to stay, but the lack of elevator was a problem. I requested a ground floor through Travelocity and then requested it directly from the establishment specifically for our elderly boxer who has arthritis. We were very disappointed to find that we had a second floor room. It made things more difficult but we were able to make it work. Also the AC was woefully underwhelming. The room was good, clean and comfortable.

We needed a last minute room for the Bayfield/Washburn area, and I’m so thankful we ended up at the Washburn Inn! The room was well kept and clean, the shower water pressure and temperature was great, but the best part was the front desk staff. I had asked about a few local features and businesses and while he was immediately knowledgeable about them and told me about local walking trails, he then called our room later to let us know about a suggestion he just heard from another customer that was useful for us too! That personal touch was great.

The location is excellent with a walking path by the lake. The staff were all friendly. The carpet in our room appeared to be dirty and probably is where the odd smell was coming from.

We were 2nd floor, no elevator. Asked for 1st but none available. Nearing 70 it was hard dragging luggage up. Never mentioned no elevators on Hotels.com when I looked before booking. ( I did check while there and it is noted further down on the site). Wish it was stated sooner. There is no house keeping (a common thing now it seems). Dirt on bath door and wall - looks like something dripped down it. Safe didn’t work. Bad pillows, bed old. I guess just didn’t enjoy it that much. Good coffee available tho.

Although there is no elevator I had a great room with all the comforts of home. Great working refrigerator great shower,good coffee machine and enough plugs for me to charge all my gear.
