This newly renovated basement in a beautiful Colonial home has 2 bedrooms and is located just one block from Rock Creek Park with access to downtown DC either by bike, car or metro. Parking!



The Space:

For those looking for outdoor adventure combined with city living!

Come stay in our newly renovated English basement! With two bedrooms, we can comfortably sleep six guests. There is a kitchen, full bath and plenty of parking!



There is a lovely open living area, complete with kitchen for guests to use, and a large SmartTV so guests can rest easy, enjoying each other’s company after a day of sight seeing.



Sleep soundly tucked away from the heavily trafficked streets, and awaken to bird songs and the stunning park just outside of your door.



Enjoy the respite from the hustle and bustle while somehow remaining a stones throw away from the action!



Our Rock Creek Park Residence offers an immaculate refuge for recreation, and a truly grounding and peaceful retreat to escape the action of our Nation’s Capital after soaking it in during the day!



With easy access to metro, nearby farmers market in walking distance as well as TONS of playgrounds and parks, guests can experience the wonderfully unique experience of being immersed in nature while still just a short ways away from the epicenter of the District!



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire apartment, it is not shared. There is a separate entrance for guests to use.



There is a family living upstairs. Please note that the everyday sounds and noises of family life (footsteps, stairs, kids playing, etc.) can be heard in both directions. You will undoubtedly hear them (and they will hear you) as they go about their everyday life.



Please note - there is a dog in the main part of the house, it DOES NOT have access to the apartment and you should rarely see him, if at all.



The Neighborhood:

Rock Creek Park is a true city escape. While you have great access to the hustle and bustle of DC's expanding history - you are a short stroll from the soothing connection to nature that is so rare to find in a cityscape.



Enjoy hiking trails, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling and the gorgeous, ranger-led Planetarium located in the park!



Getting Around:

If looking for access to DC's major sites, you are between to two metro stops (both with parking at the station).

We spent two nights here and it was just right. There was enough room for the four of us and everything was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, especially the shower, is amazing and the beds are very comfortable. The coffee is a great bonus too! We loved our stay and felt cozy and at home!

Peaceful stay in quiet and safe neighborhood

My spouse and I stayed with our infant son for over a week at this neat, nice, and well-equipt place. The host lives upstairs with their family who were quiet and friendly. The place is spectacular for the price. The only downside is that it's a 10-ish min walk to the nearest public transportation (bus stop). If you have a car this place is ideal. Would happily stay again if ever in the area

Great for a family vacation

This basement apartment is comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The location in Chevy Chase right by Rock Creek Park is excellent for families with young children. I wasn’t sure about street parking, but the spot in front of the house was always available so we had no issues there. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations!

Perfect for our family

Lara & Alex’s apartment couldn’t have been more perfect for our family of five (plus 2 dogs!). Plenty of space, and there were even books for our children to enjoy. We loved being so close to Rock Creek Park, but also the proximity to major thoroughfares for the DC/MD/VA area. If we ever need a place to stay on future visits to the area, I hope we are permitted to return to this property.

Wonderful Spot for a DC tourist

It was a perfect-sized place for my daughter and me to stay as we toured DC. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and we hardly ever heard the upstairs neighbors. Our only trouble was figuring out how to get the key out of the lock box and open the door as the porch light was out. The owner said he would fix it that weekend so I'm sure it is all taken care of for the next guests.

Perfect for our family of 4!

This was a cute little apartment, well kept, and the owners have made the most of the space. My priority is always a good nights sleep, and the mattresses were comfortable with quality linens. I also appreciated the generous supplies of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, TP, etc. The owners also left us a lovely supply of high end coffee and teas, such nice touches! There was plenty of parking as promised, and the neighborhood was lovely. It’s a short and easy drive to the metro and a city garage next to the metro (you do pay to park there). Great experience!

After I made a complaint over the phone, seemed to be removed without any explanation. 2. The place is a BASEMENT, but it was newly renovated and almost everything is perfect. We came across a few issues but we got help right away. The place and linen and towels were very clean. 3. Parking might be a problem if only the side of the road in front of the house is ok to park.
