Loved our stay here, it was the perfect stop to break up our Ring tour. Very friendly hosts. Comfy room with sea view, and so quiet at night. Nice to smell breakfast cooking downstairs in the morning, like staying at Grandma's house. Easy walk along the water to downtown to grab a bite and a pint or two. Highly recommend!

Klondyke House was a perfect location midway around the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Circle. Convenient parking and a clean and comfortable room with a view of the Sea. A hearty breakfast was individually prepared and was a delicious way to start the day! Close drive to restaurants in Waterville.

Small room and the host really seemed like she didn't want guests. Are was not rude and I didn't want to be fawned over but some basic pleasantness would help one feel welcome. I also had no idea how to contact them with needs during our stay.

Nice play to stay in Waterville. Walking distance to great pubs and restaurants and the beach. Waterville is near the dark sky area in Kerry so we saw great stars on our walk home in the evening

Friendly staff, great breakfast, I loved that we had a choice of full Irish, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon or pancakes. The room was really large, bed was good and comfy. We could not get the heating to work, but kept the window closed to keep the room warmer. Shower pressure was not great, but adequate.

A well maintained and clean property. Excellent quality breakfast. Unfortunately it was cold in the bedroom and even slightly damp. I requested a portable heater but instead the central heating was switched on for a short time which was inadequate. Bathroom was a tight fit and the shower pressure was quite low

Gute Lage mit Blick auf das Meer. Das Zimmer ließ sich leider nicht heizen und es war recht feucht. Der Ort hat nicht viel zu bieten aber das Essen im Lobster, dem lokalen Pub ist sehr zu empfehlen. Genauso die Pancakes mit Früchten beim Frühstück, die waren Extraklasse.

Herziges, kleines Hotel. Wir hatten ein kleines Zimmer mit Meersicht. Es hatte eine Dusche und etwas Tee/Kaffee im Zimmer. Das frisch zubereite Frühstück war absolut grossartig. Das Hotel liegt ca 1/4 Std Fussweg vom Dorf, wo es Restaurants und einen Strand hat. Das Hotel verfügt über mehrere Parkplätze.

Unwelcome but nice enough

I would normally do the positive and then hit on what's needs important but this review I feel different. The house itself is fine but at check in, I was put off. I felt like I was not welcome. I was a bother. I was hoping that by breakfast my opinion would have changed. The lady of the house wasn't mean or rude but only about the business end of things. No welcome, where ya from or anything. Her first words were when did you reserve and thru who? The house was nice enough and the breakfast was good but still felt unwelcome. First time in 15 years of travel that I just.wont stay again due to staff
