Suitable for single men. Can party in the big rooms. Not suitable for families or anyone that needs to get a good night sleep. Location - Great. It's the only thing it has going for it.

The room is good for a budget hotel, but there is no soundproofing. For a hotel at the beginning of one of the popular streets in Wellington night life, its not recommended for a family or if you want a good sleep in the weekends. We can even hear drunk conversations on the streets. We had university students as neighbours and we did not have a good night's sleep. Old wooden floors that squeak if you walk on them, and make good noise with any hard bottom shoes especially high hills.

Perfect location to Cuba and Courtenay, all necessities met for an overnight stay. Spacious room. Can't complain about pokey bathroom considering all other locations were more expensive with a shared bathroom. Suited perfectly for a Sat night out on the town.

The property is in a good central location. Check in process good. I booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1 as the noise from the other occupants was terrible... started about 8pm and continued on and off all night... swearing and playing loud music... then one male at 3am yelling and barking like a dog and yelling F**K the world etc. When i left early i told the man at reception that i was booked for 2 nights but leaving he said "ok" ... no asking why so thought I'd give my reasons here

The extract ducting was noisy. The shower head needed replacing a long time ago. Lifting the toilet seat i found it hadn't been cleaned from the previous tenants, the toilet brush is disgusting and a health hazard. Finally mopping the floors with a dirty mop is not classed as cleaning. The floor was sticky and i witnessed the mopping in person. The whole experience made me feel sick and i would never come back.

We couldn’t even stay due to the fact it was genuinely disgusting, hair on the sheets, toothpaste on the mirror. Bathroom wasn't clean nkt vacuumed, when checking in reception was on his phone talking to a friend and left us outside.

The bedding was clean and they provided soap and 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner towels and a bathmat. The only downside was no facecloth or handtowel. And the milk that had been left in the fridge wasn't any good because the power switch was off. The room was a lil noisy koz of like a air extracter going 24-7 but other then that we didnt find it bad. Its great due to affordability.

We booked and didn't stayed. Hired Uber from lower hutt to aura hotel, the person on desk emailed me about getting our keys. Reached hotel couldn't get the keys the for room 5 and room 3 person also trid to help us to get the key out but couldn't. So our Uber was waiting on, but tried to call them no one at the desk, went to friends for sleep. Paid cab $ 96 and hotel room was $89. Call aura hotel for refund, said no actually problem was getting keys. Not happy at all for their customer services .
