Hotel was very pleasant. Was quieter than I thought it would be since right in the heart of Wellington’s night life. The breakfast was great and the staff were very attentive and polite. Also note, if you want drinks delivered to your room, it’s a $5 delivery fee. That was a first for me lol Other than that, nice place to stay if your having night out in the city.

Nice, comfortable, convenient city stay

We only stayed one night but found the hotel was convenient to most of the inner city things we had planned. Room was an internal one (no window) but for 1 night that was fine. Room was clean, bed comfortable and bathroom spacious. Parking was self-parking in house (very tight/tiny parks but adequate). Had some issues with check-in - slow due to only 1 staff member on and some computer issues but checkout was very fast. Overall we would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The room was okay. The bed was nice, and the shower is great. It was quite noisy when other rooms were having a shower. The booking said free parking, but that is not true. Parking is $25/night, but only if you have a little car. If you drive an SUV, even a small one, there is no room to park here. They will direct you to Taranaki St parking. Very close, and reasonably priced for an overnight stay.

Great stay, always lovely staff and food and clean. Only small complaint is the tables in the room are not a good height to work at in an office desk capacity. I work from my room in between meetings and it can get uncomfortable. If there is a desk height table on request that would be amazing.

Lovely stay at the Oaks Wellington Hotel. Such a great location which made it so easy to get around either walking or using the bus. Easy walking to Te Papa Museum and shopping locations. The check-in staff were so helpful and friendly and made us feel so welcome. The room was very nicely appointed and comfortable. Would certainly stay again!

Room was perfect, bed very comfortable and the shower was great. Noise from street, nightclubs and bars was annoying when trying to sleep and the outside entrance filled with homeless people wow culd not believe to see this problem has gotten worse. Carpark tried to book this in advance and was told this was not an option as first in and had to look for a park elsewhere.

Nice, but needs some repairs!

The room was nice, we had a free upgrade too. The shower, however, was a bit of a nightmare, its pole kept slipping off the wall, a nd it lacks a door on the shower stall. This would be okay, but the floor sloped back toward the room carpet, rather than the drain. Earthquake damage? They gave us extra bathmats and were quite nice about it... but here it is!

Check in was ok. I had breakfast included that was not mentioned to me when I checked in, it was just when I checked the app and then asked them that they then said yes it was included. Room was basic but fine. Room suits a solo traveller only or a couple. There were only basic channels to watch but can log into all your streaming services if needed. I had the room with no housekeeping but had to get fresh towels every day as there really wasn’t anywhere to hang your towels. There was a towel rack in the room but it only holds one towel and it was over the vanity unit so the towel bunched up on the vanity.
