Located at the beginning of the Pa. Grand Canyon, this property has fantastic views of Pine Creek & the scenic mountains in all directions. Secluded yet only 15 minutes from scenic Wellsboro, PA, voted one of the prettiest main streets in the USA! Golfer 12 miles to Tyoga Country Club one of the most beautiful & challenging courses you will ever see. 5 minutes to excellent restaurants. This large, open floor plan "lodge" has many rooms. Main room has an 18' vaulted ceiling with loft above, a fully accessorized kitchen, 3 fireplaces, & a large deck.. This home boasts 4 (5 if you count the loft) bedrooms, all very spacious. House sits just above the snowmobile trail that’s maintained by the snowmobile club. Cabin has WiFi with no cable provided. The house was very clean and comfortable. We had deer in the yard several times and watched eagles along the creek. There is a snowmobile trail between the house and the creek which we walked everyday and saw deer and a fox. It's very close to the Grand Canyon and the two state parks on either side. Wellsboro is also very close and we enjoyed a good meal at the Wellsboro House. Very good communication with Shawn.

Shawn’s place is exactly as advertised and it’s pretty awesome there. It was secluded, peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. We were able to see the Milky Way and its in close proximity to the West rim trail, and numerous other trails.

Great lodge, great area, great host. The lodge has everything you need for a perfect vacation. The gas grill, full kitchen, comfy beds, board games, fire pit, deck all made it a amazing stay. Just outside, you could hang by the creek or fire pit (at night we caught a glimpse of the Milky Way), but further out (but not that far) you had the Pine Creek Gorge with loads of hiking trails, and the quiet and beautiful town of Wellsboro with shops and restaurants. Just those two activities alone took up the entire week and there was more to do! And Shawn is a good host; responsive and helpful. Any questions we had, he answered immediately. We highly recommend staying here.

Lovely gathering for a family vacation

Awesome location - near the creek and a swimming hole. We watched eagles fly to and from their nest just across the creek. The house has pretty much everything one could think of or need. This wasn’t so much a problem; I just want to clarify for future guests. There are window units and ceiling fans, but there is no central air. The first half of our week was atypically hot (90s) and humid. The bedrooms were cool, and the fans take the edge off in the common spaces. Once the extreme heat broke, everything was fine.

This was our 4th time staying at Shawn’s cabin and we had another great trip. Shawn is a great host. He’s always available to answer any questions before and during our stays. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Beds are very comfortable. Great fishing and swimming spot accessible from the cabin. We will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful cabin

This was our second stay at the cabin since we loved it so much the first time. Love the peace and quiet. Cabin is spacious with great views all around. Plenty of room for six adults with nice big beds in every room. Enjoyed the fire pit at night and even got to see some northern lights! Nice and secluded but great breakfast spot and bar nearby. Would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Gaines. The house was big which was nice. The water pressure was a little low but it's on a well. Lots of wildlife and close hiking in the GC. All in all a great trip!

Beautiful cabin and setting in the woods and along Pine Ceek. Minutes from PA Grand Canyon; fishing in Pine Creek; short drive to quaint Wellsboro. Overall wonderful experience for the whole family

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The cabin was spacious and worked well for our family with young adult children and their spouses. The location is beautiful and close to the rail trail for biking and Pine Creek access for kayaking. We would stay here again!

Awesome Cabin + Location

We celebrated my moms 74th birthday & everyone had a great time. Even though it rained the entire weekend we still managed to hike a little bit at the grand canyon scenic overlook. Also the Log Cabin Inn is minutes away & was very good. The cabin is clean & comfortable. I'd struggle to find anything negative to say about it. We have stayed at multiple mountain cabins the last several years & this one is easily at the top of the list as an easy 5 star across the board rating. Peaceful Property

We had an amazing time. The home was clean. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The creek behind the home has a great swimming hole which was wonderful because it was very hot when we stayed. The fishing in the creek was also wonderful! Rustic and Secluded

The home was very spacious for 8 adults to spread out. The kitchen was very well equipped. The bedroom situation was excellent for 4 couples. We enjoyed playing board games at the large dining table and gathering around the fire pit. Hubby found a place to fish with the help of the host who directed us to the stream access. Secluded location with a long driveway which was in good condition. A few cobwebs but since we are not picky and enjoy rustic accommodations, it was no big deal. Overall, a great house!

Awesome Cabin

Cabin was peaceful, roomy clean and quiet. Saw tons of deer and an eagle! Enjoyed the fire pit. Great view out of every window. Took lots of day trips from this perfect location and enjoyed the local bars/restaurants right near by.
