A lovely place with an interesting history, super friendly welcome, lovely room and everything we needed. We dined there too and the food was spot on, really tasty, good portions and fairly priced. The only thing I would say is that the room was a little chilly and we couldnât find controls to change that. However I assumed as it was summertime the heating was off, it just happened to be a rainy chilly May Day! I had a lovely deep bath in the freestanding tub and was soon back to being warm!
We had a lovely time staff were friendly and helpfull food especially breakfast was excellent
Loved the artwork and photos throughout of beutifull surroundings
The owners were down to earth and friendly. The room was clean and attractive. Lots to visit in and around Welshpool. I really enjoyed my sort stay here. Would definately reccommend it.
A fabulous few days away.
Lovely food in a family run hotel, who all work very hard to ensure our stay was as comfortable and pleasant as could be. Thank you for your hospitality.
One night stay with two friends. All of us were very happy with our rooms. Evening meal was good and staff and hotel owner were all very friendly. Breakfast was good too.
Our room was very characterful with lovely old floorboards and nice padded chairs. Super king sized bed (very comfortable).
Nice selection of drinks with specialised fruit teas and hot chocolate provided in the room.
Overall the accommodation is very spacious and full of period charm.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly.
The Hotel is well placed for days out to Powis Castle, lake Vyrnwy, Barmouth and many local RSPB reserves.
I recommend the vegan curry.
From the first welcome out goats were friendly approachable and helpful , the room was excellent and very welcoming after a day walking through the hills it contained everything we could have needed
Food !!! Excellent , tasty , presented well , great ingredients and served with care and pride thank you for a great evening
Arrived at check in time 4pm as advert, made to wait,
After 20 mins room was ready
Dirty marks on wall in room,
Flush toilet and the water hammer sounded like floor was about collapse.
Not friendly at all and felt like we were a burden, perhaps not he right platform to leave the rest of the info
