Nautilus Two – A Beachfront Condo on Seven Mile Beach - by Cayman Villas

This beautiful beachfront condo is located directly on Seven Mile Beach on Boggy Sand Road in West Bay, which is located on the National Trust's Historical Walking Tour of old Caymanian homes.

The condo is part of a duplex, and these two condos are nestled amongst mature sea grape trees at the northern end of our world famous Seven Mile Beach and is in a quiet and high-end residential area, away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort areas. Just off shore are some of the most popular dive sites on the western end of Grand Cayman. There are also shallower reefs for snorkeling with popular Cemetery Reef just a few hundred yards south of us! For land lovers, the beach or the spacious outdoor deck, under the shade of the sea grape trees, provides the ideal setting to enjoy a good book and a refreshing drink. Rest and relaxation are guaranteed at this cozy seaside bungalow!

The unit has two bedrooms on the 2nd floor, both with gorgeous views of the Caribbean Sea, and each bedroom has its own spacious private ensuite bathroom and balcony, perfect for coffee in the morning or reading a good book and watching the sun go down each evening. The fully equipped kitchen has all the comforts of home, and allows you to stay in and cook your favorite meal or keep your favorite drink cool for when you get back from a meal out on the town, at one of our many world class restaurants! The private and spacious outside deck provides you with a quiet area to relax, soak up the sun, read your favorite book, or just watch the boats go by, listen to the waves and be mesmerized by the spectacular views of Seven Mile Beach, all the way down to the George Town Harbour!

Within a short 5 minute walk there is a convenience store, for you to buy the basics, plus a few local restaurants. Within a short drive there is a large grocery store and liquor store, plus many more restaurants: Macabuca, The Cracked Conch, Villas Pappagallo, Calypso Grill and more. Numerous activities such as the Cayman Turtle Center, Dolphin Cove, Scuba Diving, Stingray City Tours are also nearby.

Nautilus Condos is an ideal place to relax, unwind and have an incredibly memorable vacation!

Great stay

Nautilus 2- clean, well equipped, wonderful view. We spent many happy hours snorkelling directly in front, up and down the shoreline as well as a couple of hundred yards offshore to the buoys directly in front as well as offshore from cemetery beach which we also snorkelled to.Relaxing on the deck afterwards surrounded by lush vegetation. Perfect!

On the Water

This property is at the end of 7 mile beach. Easy acess to G town and all it has to offer- shopping, eats, etc. We took advantage of Cayman Turtle Divers for one of the dive days and they meet at the dock 5 min from the house. We also went on a Bioluminescence toru with 6th sense tours and they meet 5 minutes from the house and boat accross to the North end. The deck was wonderful to eat breakfast/coffee and watch the sunset. House was clean and had everything we needed.

DIRTY, UNSAFE, listing is misleading, Cayman Villas is hard to deal with

Bottomline: Nautilus 2 is DIRTY and UNSAFE and the management company Cayman Villas is terrible to deal with (we booked on VRBO but Cayman Villas makes you sign a one sided contract and takes your money). We checked out after a few hours of checking in and went to a clean and safe hotel. Cayman Villas said the place is "spotless" and claimed the hair is our hair even though we don't have long dark hair. They refused to issue refund, after days of back and forth they refunded only half. I don't recommend booking this place or dealing with VRBO or Cayman Villas. Here are the details: Kitchen: food crumbs, white powder on the kitchen counters. The dish sponge and dishdrying mat were filthy with brown and black stains. There is a piece of old and dirty duct tape covering a hole on the kitchen sink. There was a large clump of hair in the shower drain: gross. There was hardly any water pressure. No shampoo. Blood stains on the sheets and brown smears and stains on the blanket. There was hair, pubic hair, and dead bugs on all vanities and toilets, a bath mat heavily stained by what looked like urine and a very old, crusty brown toilet brush I would not touch with a glove. Dry toothpaste smears and hand prints on all bath faucets. The front door is NOT SAFE: there is no metal plate on the door jamb for the deadbolt to go in and it is exposed from the outside. The security chain link inside the door frame has nothing to attach to on the door, it is useless. Terrible

Amazing views, wonderful place!

I have stayed at this property over a dozen times and I’m always so happy I chose it! Beth and Shirley are amazing hosts!!! Review from my friends whose first visit this was: great views and only a few steps from the water, close to good dining and grocery shopping.

Perfect Getaway!

The house is perfect for a quiet getaway. Every morning we enjoyed waking up and drinking our coffee with a beautiful view of the waves and beach. We loved laying on the beach enjoying a cocktail and having the house a few steps away. Sunsets are amazing from the house! A short walk down the quiet street the Heritage Kitchen has the best fish dinners (and reasonable), walk around the corner from it first and grab a bottle of wine! Swimming is a bit tricky from the house, as the beach entry is rocky. The house had plenty of beach towels, and pretty much anything we needed, including a well appointed kitchen. The deck although shared is private (trees in between give privacy) even if both sides of the house are rented simultaneously. We thought the location was perfect, not on a busy road, beachfront with a grocery and liquor store very close. We also enjoyed lunch a few times up the coast at Macabuca. Thanks for a memorable and relaxing time. We’ll be back!

Wonderful spot that is begging us to return

The unit is fantastic. Clean, modern, and comfortable. The beach is amazing! I skipped diving since the snorkeling off the beach was so fantastic! The deck is a wonderful benefit that provided countless hours of private relaxation in the sun. A quick walk to stores for all us bohemian travelers-no car necessary for 8 days! Great beach, quiet clean location, easy access to basic necessities. This was everything we look for in a vacation getaway

Great place

This is the first time we had ever stayed in a place right on the ocean and it was awesome. Waking up to the gentle surf was great. The place was just the right size for our family of 4 and it was nice having 2 full bathrooms as a lot of places with 2 bedrooms don't have that. Grand Cayman is such a small island that no matter where you stay nothing is too far away. We were able to easily go to the Turtle Center, boat for Stingray City, the caves, Smith's Cove, etc. Grocery store close by had everything we needed. If you stay here and like fresh fish check out Heritage Kitchen down the street. It looks like a little run down but the food was great at a very reasonable price. Thank you for having us!

Perfect location on the beach! The house was very clean, situated on the beach. The snorkel was fantastic, right in front of the house! Lots of fish, reef and some stingrays. Walking distance to a supermarket. We loved our stay and would love to go back someday.

Perfect for family of 4 who want sun, water, & easy snorkeling.

We chose this location for the privacy and because it was on the water. Both of those things were very true. We love being able to cook breakfast and even had @dining at home come with two chefs to prepare dinner for us one night. The beach has a lot of sand, but it also has a lot of rocks. I recommend water shoes. it was slippery in some areas but, the snorkeling was amazing!!!!!! Especially if you swim our 200 yards!! we walked to dinner one night and lunch another day. We could’ve walked to the liquor store and convenient store easily, but we didn’t. The cons was it adjoins with another property and deck so you are sharing water toys and beach area &chairs. For us, it was OK, but I could see how it could get interesting if the neighbors were loud and obnoxious! Renting both condos would be perfect for a family of 7 or 8+ we will definitely come back to this property if available. It is not near the Hotel Ore, Downtown area, but we rented a car and felt very safe the whole time in West Bay. Showers and bathrooms were very clean and seem to be newly remodeled. Plenty of chairs on deck & shade on deck and sand.

Great trip

We had a wonderful time! Location was great if you want more privacy in West Bay. The condo was clean and suited our needs perfectly. The snorkeling out front was ideal! Sting Ray City, Starfish Island excursion was well worth it. We went out for most of our meals but walked to Heritage Kitchen since it was SO close and really good. Calypso Grill and Macabuca's BBQ buffet on Mondays was great as well. Fosters grocery was really convenient and had a Jaques Wine & Spirits next door with many options. We also walked to Subway one day to grab lunch. Hope to visit again soon!

Not on 7mile beach and not a Villa

Most importantly, the property wasn't located on 7 mile beach, it is in West Bay. I knew the property wasn't fancy inside, but I figured by the photos n description that we'd have a nice beach and on 7 mile. condo is right next to the public beach entrance that is open all night. I didn't feel safe in the neighborhood at all. The main picture for the ad is doctored. the beach is maybe a foot and then a huge step over high rock into aggressive, rocky waves. The connecting neighbor is too cloe and the pictures show a large deck. deck in actuality is small. I spent 1 night and left the next day. I had to pay for 4 more days at a hotel on 7 MILE BEACH. Not a good experience at all

Excellent facility and location

We always enjoy our stay at Nautilus Apartments. I've stayed there atleast 6 or 7 times. The apartments are perfect for 4 adults. The location provides some of the best snorkeling and sunsets on the island. The owner is friendly and wonderful to all her guests. I highly recommend it.

Great Property and Location

We loved this property for lots of reasons. Not only a great view, but very nice place inside and out. Located on 7 mile beach but at the north end away from the crowds of cruise ships coming in. Some great local eateries and shops that are walking distance.
