Booked first time in error and told we could not get a refund within 10 minutes of booking even in booking 3 weeks in advance. The second booking we did, Hotels.com did not give us checking in time, we called the hotel many times, no one answers, left message on voice mail, still no one replied. Got email with access code at 3:20 pm.

David, I appreciate your feedback and am sorry to hear your experience did not meet your expectations. We strive to provide our guests with quality customer service and a relaxing stay. I do believe it may have been hotels.com you corresponded with and not with Lamp Post staff directly as I was unaware of your attempt to change your date at that time. I do apologize for the confusion surrounding your booking and check-in time (4PM) --we try and make that information readily available on our website and in multiple messages which are sent out prior to check-in. I will see that it is remedied on our third-party sites immediately. Cheers, Shayna

Good condition but way overpriced

The lodge was very clean and well kept. With that said, given what they charge they offered basically nothing outside of a place to sleep: - No water available other than tap or the half-jug downstairs to make your own coffee - Only coffee was "instant" in the room (and all they left in my room was decaf), or a standard pot downstairs to make yourself if you want - No fridge in the room - No breakfast available (free or otherwise) - No ice available except 3-4 cubes that were in the shared refrigerator downstairs - Check in instructions said to use the "screened in" windows to cool the room but my room had no screen on the window - No one onsite to offer any type of service Despite all this they charge a "property fee" on top of the nightly rate, not sure what that is supposed to include given they offer less amenities than any hotel I've stayed in?

Hi Matt, Thank you for your feedback. We do not have kitchenettes in the room but do provide a variety of snacks, hot water boiler, tea, coffee and a Keurig downstairs to try and offset that. There should have been regular coffee as well as decaf-I do apologize about that! We offer a contactless check-in but do have local hosts available for any onsite needs as well as can be reached by phone from 8 am-10pm every day. I will see about getting a water dispenser for guest use. We hope to see you back again!
