Elk Highlands Ski House
A beautifully designed ski-in ski-out mountain home with a hot tub, pool table, and a gorgeous kitchen that over looks Whitefish Lake. Guests have access to the Elk Highlands community chair lift that access` Whitefish Mountain Resort in the winter months. Glacier National Park is a 40-minute drive away.
Designed by Montana Creative Architecture and adorned with finishes and furnishings selected by a professional interior design firm, this mountain modern, classically designed home boasts all the amenities of a five-star hotel. From fine furnishings to art and décor, high-end mattresses, and luxurious linens and towels, no detail has been overlooked.

Inside, a mudroom with three ski lockers for clothes and gear and two larger lockers for ski and board storage welcomes you. Heated floors in the mudroom warm cold feet after a day in the snow, and a wall-mounted boot dryer for eight pairs of gloves and boots keeps everyone ready for the next slope-side adventure. Adjacent to the ski locker area is a dual stackable laundry setup, streamlining everyday tasks so you can spend more time enjoying your Montana adventure.
Off the main entry hall, a stunning powder room features a wall-mounted toilet, a custom concrete floating sink, and a luxurious gunmetal wall-mounted sink faucet. The great room is framed with 8-foot windows and doors that provide panoramic views of Whitefish Lake and the surrounding mountains. With walls clad in Douglas fir and reclaimed European white pine flooring, the open-concept great room is an awe-inspiring gathering place. The fully equipped kitchen offers high-end appliances, including a 48â range with induction cooktop, dual 30â Fisher and Paykel refrigerator/freezers, a Miele dishwasher, and a Sharp microwave drawer. The spacious island, with leather and steel barstools, seats five. The living area beyond the kitchen features a tunnel gas fireplace that opens to the adjacent dining room. A 65â television above the fireplace is perfect for family movie nights or game days. Furnishings were chosen for comfort and good conversational seating, including a pair of 90â wide down-filled boucle sofas and leather and steel lounge chairs with a leather ottoman. The bi-fold doors of the great room create an ideal indoor-outdoor living space with access to the exterior porch, furnished with an oversized sectional and lounge chairs around a natural gas fire table. Electric heaters in the ceiling extend the porch`s use into the colder months, and there is a built-in gas grill for outdoor dining.
Artfully designed bent metal stairs lead to the loft overlooking the great room. A bench with storage for bedding and a small coat closet are strategically nestled under the loft stairs. The loft, complete with steel and glass railings, offers stunning views of Whitefish Lake. Furnished with a daybed covered in indoor/outdoor velvet and a pull-out trundle, the loft is perfect for sleeping or relaxing with a book.
Adjacent to the great room is the dining area with seating for ten. The dining table, made of wood slab and steel, is surrounded by leather chairs and features a tunnel fireplace and gorgeous views. A wet bar with window seat swivel chairs and cocktail tables provides the perfect setting for conversational, cocktail hour seating.
On the main level, the master bedroom includes a king-size bed, a three-sided glass and steel fireplace, and a sofa at the end of the bed, perfect for morning coffee or evening reading. Large windows offer spectacular views of Whitefish Lake and the surrounding mountains. The master ensuite is a study in luxury, featuring unlacquered brass fixtures, a 66â wide soaking tub, heated floors, and a steam shower with dual shower heads and a long bench. A seated makeup area and generous master closet complete the space.
The lower level offers additional living and sleeping space, including a game room with a pool table, game table, and countertop with bar stools. A wet bar with an under-counter refrigerator, ice maker, and drawer dishwasher is also included. A boucle sectional sofa and leather swivel chair are arranged around a gas fireplace and 55â TV. A second covered porch features a luxurious hot tub, chaise lounge chairs, and ceiling-mounted electric heaters for extended use. A gas fire pit with Adirondack chairs offers a perfect spot for viewing sunsets over the lake, valley, and surrounding mountains.
Guest Suite 1 includes two queen steel canopy beds with velvet upholstered headboards and a private 50â television. A vestibule hallway with a dresser leads to an ensuite with a shower, double vanity, luxurious polished nickel modern bath fixtures, and a separate water closet. Heated floors provide added comfort during colder months. Guest Suite 2 offers a fully upholstered king-size bed, a dresser for clothes storage, a reading chair, and a private 50â television. The ensuite bathroom includes a shower, double vessel sinks, and luxurious modern matte black bath fixtures.
