This property was terrific for my husband and I and our adult daughter with friends. Location was great - beautiful view, peaceful surroundings, and wonderful visits from the cockatoos.
Kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals, shuttle pick up was nearby which was great because we couldn't put 5 people on the buggy, and Luxury Holidays were fantastic hosts. They were very responsive to any of our questions and requests.
We loved our visit to Hamilton Island!
The property was well-presented and having three separate rooms and two bathrooms was ideal for 6 adults. Having the use of a buggy was fantastic, especially as the property was on the harbour side of the island. Its location to one of the bus stops was also ideal. Good location for those who like to watch the planes take off and land. The only negative would be the furniture, in particular the dining chairs - well used and not comfortable.
Property is in a lovely location, and the kitchen is well equipped. However the beds are well past their use by date, very uncomfortable. Likewise the interior of fridge, broken shelves etc. Overall it is a good property but everything is a bit tired!
Amazing house in an amazing location, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only thing we have to complain about is the paperwork they ask you to do before arrival is astronomical and they still got our arrival and departure times wrong (nothing to do with home owner). Also we were called on our second last day and told we had to leave the island that day due to Covid-19 as an interstate traveller with flights booked on 2 different airlines to get home it definitely put a dampener on our last day (again nothing to do with home owner)
The property is great. Plenty of room, good facilities, the pool is nice and the location it great.
The checkout process not so good. Paperwork and verbal instructions were check out and pick up at 11:00am. A text message on the last night advised that checkout was an hour earlier at 10:00am due to a late booking. As we'd made arrangements for that morning that couldn't be changed, we couldn't do this. A text message war ensued (as he wouldn't answer his phone) with me being threatened with extra charges should I not comply. I even sent a photo of the paperwork that stated 11:00am checkout. Bad luck, things change, don't care about your paperwork, we have a late booking so get out or we'll debit your credit card. Disgraceful, unlawful and totally unacceptable.
Please don't let this put you off staying at what is a great property. I'm sure it's a one-off, and we'd happily return.
