Beautifully furnished 3-bedroom town house on the North Coast 500 route
The Clachan is a beautifully finished three-bedroom holiday home, offering a warm welcome to families, groups, and friends looking to explore the stunning North Coast of Scotland.
Previously run as a B&B, The Clachan combines comfort, space, and modern amenities, making it the perfect base for your Highland getaway. The property boasts an en-suite bedroom with a king-sized bed, as well a double bedroom, and a room with bunk beds.
North Coast Holiday Homes is not located on site, however, we are more than happy to help if you have any questions.
Nestled in the heart of Wick, The Clachan invites you to experience the charm of Caithness – where rugged coastlines, rich heritage, and Highland hospitality come together to showcase some of the best of Scotland.
Located at the top of the North Coast 500 route, Wick is the perfect base to explore the beauty of Scotland's northernmost landscapes. The town’s harbour heritage and seaside charm offer a unique blend of history and tranquillity, making it an ideal destination for both adventure seekers and those looking to unwind.
A short drive from The Clachan lies the dramatic Castle of Old Wick perched on the cliffs, offering breathtaking views over the North Sea. Further along the coast, the Whaligoe Steps – a hidden gem of 365 stone steps leading to a historic harbour – provides a glimpse into the area’s fishing past and is a must-visit for those who enjoy a scenic walk.
For whisky enthusiasts, the world-renowned Old Pulteney Distillery is just a stone's throw away. Take a tour and sample the distinctive maritime flavours of one of Scotland's finest single malts, crafted in Wick since 1826.
The Clachan’s prime location means you’re within walking distance of local shops, cafés, and restaurants. Whether you're browsing for locally crafted goods or indulging in traditional Highland cuisine, Wick’s friendly community will give you a warm welcome.
Nature lovers can explore the nearby Sinclair and Girnigoe Castles, wildlife-rich coastal trails, and pristine beaches that make Caithness such a captivating destination.
With its rich history, stunning landscapes, and unparalleled location, The Clachan in Wick is the ideal base for your next adventure – whether you're seeking outdoor exploration, cultural discoveries, or simply a place to relax and recharge.
The Clachan is conveniently situated at the entrance to Wick, making it an ideal choice for guests travelling by public transport. A bus stop is located directly opposite the property, and the train station is just a 15-minute walk away. The property is in a well-lit area, with surrounding streetlights providing additional security and peace of mind at night.
The private driveway at the front of the property can accommodate two small vehicles. For larger vehicles or additional cars, free parking is available at the retail park directly across the road. We kindly ask guests to avoid parking on the street or blocking neighbouring driveways to respect the local community.
The Clachan offers spacious, comfortable accommodation with everything you need for a memorable stay in the Highlands.
The well-equipped kitchen features an electric oven, gas hob, and everything that you should need including ample counter space, perfect for preparing home-cooked meals during your stay. A breakfast bar seating four provides the ideal spot for casual dining or can double as a dedicated workspace for those needing to catch up on emails.
Unwind in the cosy lounge, furnished with comfortable seating, a large smart TV (please note Freeview channels cannot be guaranteed), and an electric fireplace – the perfect setting to relax after a day of exploring. The dining room comfortably seats 12 guests around a large table and includes a TV, so you won't have to miss your favourite shows during meals.
With three bedrooms accommodating up to 7 guests, The Clachan offers flexible sleeping arrangements. The property boasts an en-suite bedroom with a king-sized bed, a double bedroom, and a room with bunk beds to suit families, friends, or larger groups. There is also a large family bathroom with a bath and shower on the first floor, along with a ground floor WC for added convenience.
Step outside to the private, fully enclosed rear garden – a safe haven for children and four-legged friends to play. The garden features a picnic bench on the patio area and a charcoal barbecue, perfect for enjoying long summer evenings.

Whether you're seeking adventure or a relaxing retreat, The Clachan is the perfect base to experience the beauty of the Highlands.
When travelling to The Clachan, we highly recommend researching your public transport routes or ensuring that guests have access to a car.
