While I loved this resort here are my pros and cons. PROS •Beautiful grounds and beach •Restaurants are near by and walkable on Mambo Beach •Staff was friendly and helpful •Clean rooms CONS •No washcloths in Superior room •No real ventilation in the bathroom in superior room only if you open the window •Bedding could be better(it is 2 twin beds put together to make a king and only a flat sheet no fitted sheet or mattress pad)

I loved my stay at the Kontiki beach resort. Stayed on the non-luxury side and it was beautiful. The landscape, pathways and pools are beautiful, relaxing and private. My only warning to other guests would be that on certain nights of the week that you won’t really know about in advance, you can hear very loud music from the bars on the beach and it goes till about 12 AM to 1 AM. Older than that, this resort really is beautifully appointed… The beach area and restaurants are photo worthy

Beach was beautiful and the food was really good. Staff were very friendly. It did get loud at night on the weekend but it didn’t bother me too much. The AC in the room however didn’t work that well. Some nights were hotter than others but I dealt with it. Overall great experience would definitely recommend to others to visit

staff needs to improve on how they treat their guests. They seem to favor on group over the other. could be a hereditary factor. Ex i came to drop off the beach towels. i handed the front desk employee and he directed me to a box. Ok fine, couple of days later a couple did the same thing and they took the towels from them. small issue, perhaps. Another example, sitting down at mood beach club for brunch and my girlfriend came over to meet me and she was stopped by a staff.... little annoying stuffs which i think they can be coached to do better.

Nice rooms ... but horrible mattress, sheets and pillows. Uncomfortable, old and ruined. Nice beach area but service terrible unless you were in the VIP area. Very friendly staff at the front desk

Our stay went really well. As a guest at Kontiki, we had access to two beaches, restaurants on the beach, easy access to the beautiful waters, etc. the only complain was a gecko got into our room and they quickly moved us…the issue was the other room was a little smelly/like sewage but everything else was superb and that actually wasn’t fully the fault of the hotel. I’d recommend and stay again.
