Beautifully restored home in Wilmington Historic District with pool

Enjoy the charm of this historic cottage home. Located among the many attractions of downtown and within an easy drive to the beaches, this historic yet modern home makes for the perfect spot to enjoy everything Wilmington has to offer. And if you just want to escape and relax, you have private access to the beautiful pool oasis right outside your back door. (The pool is not heated and generally too cold to be in from late September through mid-May, but the pool remains open and the pool area can be enjoyed year round.)

The historic but completely renovated home includes a comfortable living room, a dining room that seats eight, a well-equipped kitchen, and a large back deck. The two bedrooms each have their own en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. Additional sleeping is available on the fold-out sofa in the living room. The front porch, deck, courtyard, and private pool areas offer great outdoor space for enjoying coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening, as well as a great place to soak up the sun or lounge in the shade!

All of historic downtown Wilmington is an easy walk from the house. There is off-street parking for two vehicles. All linens and towels are provided, including pool and beach towels.

This home is not only in a prime location to enjoy Wilmington, but has everything you need to make for a relaxing getaway!

Because of the outdoor space, guests often want to invite others over to join them. Small gatherings are permitted, but we ask that you inform us first if anyone not staying at the house is coming over. The house is in a residential neighborhood and we ask that our guests be courteous of our neighbors. Therefore, we don’t allow groups of more than 12 and ask hosts to monitor noise levels, particularly after 9:00pm.

Please note that we are no longer able to accommodate pets in our home.

We live right next door to the property, so if you have any needs or questions while you are staying, we are very easy to reach.

After about 30 minutes in Matt & Chris’ home, my husband said “I think this is the nicest rental we’ve ever stayed in!” I totally agreed. Pictures don’t do this beautiful home. It was beautifully restored, so tastefully decorated but warm and comfortable, and so thoughtfully stocked. The owners clearly put a lot of care into anticipating their guests needs and fulfilling them before the guests even asked. First class!

This is my favorite place to stay on the East Coast. The house has historic charm mixed with modern appliances and fixtures. The elegant decorations are the perfect touch to make it feel coastal but not “beachy.” The backyard/pool/cabana is the perfect hidden oasis for daytime fun and evening relaxation. The hosts are amazing and super responsive. 10/10 would recommend!

3 night runaway

Another great stay in Wilmington. We found this beautiful house a couple years ago and it seems to never disappoint. The house is so well appointed, comfortable and has all the amenities needed for a great weekend. Add a great resort style pool setting and it’s the perfect runaway location. Another great stay!

Wonderful cottage

This is lovely property and well appointed. The kitchen is fully stocked with all manner of cooking implements. The house is perfectly decorated and very welcoming. Everything was very clean and also well organized. The pool and pool area are a nice oasis and for your iwn eclusive use. This is a great place to stay when visiting Wilmington and a perfect location to access restaurants and the historic downtown. This will become your favorite place to stay in Wilmington NC.

Returning back to this beautifully restored home for another relaxing week in Wilmington. Stayed at the pool to relax, made the short trip to the riverfront for food, shopping and entertainment. The hosts go out of their way to ensure a great experience.

Perfect stay!

This house is beautifully appointed and totally comfortable and it is hard to leave when it is time! It has most anything that you would need on vacation and very clean. Fabulous kitchen when you want to eat in. Location is perfect, walking distance to downtown, lots of shopping and restaurants and bars. Having a washer and dryer is very convenient. The pool and back yard are outstanding, has a resort feel. The owners couldn’t be any nicer, and right next door if you need them. This is a beautiful historic home with all the comforts! You won’t be sorry if you stay here!!

Perfect in every way

Chris and Matt were unbelievable hosts. This downtown oasis is designed to perfection and is full of character. The house and amenities were in great condition and remarkably clean, and it was located within walking distance to just about anything you need in downtown Wilmington. The communication and flexibility of the hosts was also unmatched. We will definitely be returning for a stay in the future — and would be permanent guests if we were able!

Sweet Wilmington - we'll be back

We had a wonderful stay over April vacation; myself and my two boys. We're from New England and found the pool water very swimmable. We had great weather during our stay, which I am sure helped.The house itself was exactly what I had hoped for: clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The beds were very comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was in great working order.Proximity to downtown Wilmington was nice as well—it was a very cute neighborhood with charming homes all around. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Chris but Matt was lovely to talk to, and very available for anything we needed.I highly recommend this house for your Wilmington stay!

Awesome Historic House and Location

This well-appointed house has it all! It is stocked with everything needed for your visit. From the cozy front porch with rocking chairs to the beautiful backyard with multiple seating areas, it really feels like your at home. The decor is lovely and the furniture is comfortable and practical. The house is in a quaint neighborhood and is very walkable to all the restaurants and bars. Our host made check-in and out a breeze. I’ve stayed in multiple VRBO properties and this was the best one yet!

Long Weekend

The house is beautiful. The pool and outdoor areas were so enjoyable. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, everything you would need is here. Perfect location within 15 minute walk to everything! A wonderful find In the Wilmington historic district!

Matt and Chris provided a great stay for us in their lovely two bedroom Wilmington getaway. They were great hosts and provided everything we needed . The house is super comfy with all the necessities. Make sure you bring your swimsuit for the pool and tropical sitting area, outback!
