I could have stayed home and cleaned.
Upon arriving, the host had not sent us the code. So drove around until we could get the app to load and then found the number and called the host. He said he would get it to us by the time we got back over to the house.The storm door was damaged, the connecting rod for the closer is bent. So I open the app and was going to send a message to the host that we found it that way, as my friend entered the house, she discovered beds unmade, piles of sheets on bed. Also piles of sheets and comforters on the laundry room floor, towels used in the bathroom, around the bathroom, bathtub dirty, toilet dirty, dishwasher was hanging open. Both racks slid out with dishes, loaded in it, food on the counter in fridge and in freezer. Across the main room, there were little pieces of mud, dried mud probably came out of shoes with large treads and tracked through to kitchen.Call the host, Patrick and talk to him. He didn’t know why the house was in such disarray. He did not offer any solutions. I had to press him for solutions. He didn’t offer to call the housekeeper. He stated that him and his wife lived an hour away I don’t know if I said we could clean it or he said we could clean it, I did ask him how he could comp us, he offered to waive the cleaning fee and offered to wave one night. I hope at the very least this happens for us. He seemed more worried that they weren’t going to break even, than we were in this mess.We bought laundry detergent. 3 loads. Cleaned and sanitized everything
