This home is on stilts with gorgeous views of Crooked River. Quietly nestled amongst a 40 acres, this property is conveniently located just 3/4 of a mile from I-95 and 25 minutes from Jacksonville, Florida. This home features a master suite with a king bed, a guest bedroom with two twin beds, with an open kitchen and living room with large 16 foot sliding glass doors, enjoy beautiful views of Crooked River. Savor your morning coffee on the outdoor deck overlooking the river, while relaxing to the sounds of birds chirping and dolphins swimming up stream. There are large, mature oaks with Spanish moss. This is southern relaxation at it finest! This is a one of a kind property to take the weight of the world off your shoulders.

The pictures of this beautiful place - while pretty - do not do it justice. The backyard is expansive and the dock has an incredible view. Great views can also be had on the balcony and from the kitchen/living room. The kitchen has everything you need to make basic meals. The whole house is so clean, fresh and cozy. We used the house as a base camp for day trips to Cumberland and Jekkyl Islands as well as the Okefenokee Swamp. We got groceries at the nearby Publix. I wish we had built in an extra day or so to just hang out at the house, relaxing by the water and in the very large and comfortable lazyboy chairs. Owners were always responsive and friendly in texts. Thank you for a delightful stay!

The only item surprisingly that was missing was salt but we bought and left for next guests. We're not fans of electrically generated artificial scents so we removed from outlet during our stay. We kayaked two days using the dock for launch. Though folks with experience should know, it might useful to alert guests to check tides so as to paddle near slack high to avoid strong currents. Also, a useful tip for launch and return is to tie a tight line from the near the center point of kayak to dock cleat to prevent capsize.

We really enjoyed our stay. We came for the fishing but the house was a fantastic bonus! The kitchen is well appointed if you want to prepare meals there. We went out for dinner the nights we stayed. There are some good restaurants a couple of exits down on I95. We both highly recommend this house & would like to stay here again. Check in was super easy.

This was a perfect property if you love to fish. We caught redfish, trout, silver perch, crabs and shrimp. The outdoor firepit was nice, but weather didn't allow us to fully enjoy it. Despite the weather, we had a great time fishing on the covered dock.

Weekend Getaway

Everything about the cottage and property were perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was so clean. The property was beautiful and relaxing. We fished off the dock most of the time and were able to catch several crabs, as well as several fish. We will definitely be back.
