The space
This lovely home offers 1 queen bedroom, 1 double bedroom, 1 king single room and 1 room with a king single and standard single bed. There is a single day bed in the living area.
The living area is large and open plan and opens out on to the spacious wrap around verandah that easily fits a table and chairs to enjoy the view.
There is a wood burning fireplace in the living room and a TV, which invites you to snuggle up on the couch for some down time with the family.
A full kitchen is provided as well as a laundry with both a washing machine and a dryer, and the beautiful yard is available for all kinds of play!
Please note that there is a steep driveway to enter this property. The driveway is suitable for a standard vehicle however you may not be able to reach the upper level in a larger vehicle e.g. an 8 seater mini bus or van.

Gumleaves is located 40 minutes south of Hobart on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. Nearby is Bruny Island and the Huon Valley. Huonville the gateway to the south east is just 30 minutes away.
Things to do:
Down the road or over the hill: Coffee, drinks, light meals down the hill (3 mins) on the waterfront at Peppermint Bay or Grandvewe Cheesery at Birches Bay (10 mins); Hartz View winery (5 mins over the hill); the Margate train (15 mins) ; or over the hill (15 mins) to the Red Velvet Lounge Cygnet
Half day – day trips: Bruny Island (10mins to the ferry); Salamanca market on Saturdays, waterfront restaurants any day); antiques, coffee & meals at Franklin on the Huon River (40 mins) Gordon-Randalls Bay- Cygnet drive circuit; MONA Museum of Old and New Art
Day trips: Mt Field National Park, Tasman Peninsula/Port Arthur Cockle Creek, Hastings Cave and Lune River train.
Other things to note
Driveway:
The driveway meets Woodbridge Hill Road at a narrow angle. It is best not to turn into the driveway if approaching from Woodbridge. There is a turning spot 100m further along Woodbridge Hill Road.
The driveway has a relatively steep incline from Woodbridge Hill Road until the turning circle, the steepest sections are sealed. To get up to the upper house level two approaches can be used: drive up to the turning circle and turn and reverse up to house lower level then drive up to the upper level OR drive up to the lower level and reverse up to the upper level. Otherwise there are stairs to the house from the lower level. If you arrive at night there is a light switch on a cement pillar to the right of the open area under the house. A light switch can also found next to the front door.
