Room was lovely- spotless and warm with a window overlooking the car park and countryside. It was quiet. The bed could have done with a new mattress but it didnât stop us sleeping.
The bar wasnât very relaxing or comfortable- it was just tables and chairs as a restaurant.
I went for a night away for my partners birthday. Iâd put in a request a bottle of Prosecco to be put in our room and Debbie who messaged me back was happy to do that for me. Iâd then received a message the day of our reservation that our room had been upgraded to their bridal suite complementary.
I canât thank the staff enough for making our stay so enjoyable, we will definitely be back. The room was spotless
Staff were lovely at check in, but something I never expected was how hard the beds were, very very hard beds no movement to them at all, me and my daughter didn't sleep great due to this reason, we paid 160 for 2 nights and I never expected this. I've never come across this at a hotel before. Was very clean and tidy and nice design but the beds were terrible. It meant my daughter didn't get much sleep which ruined her weekend for why we were there. On the Saturday night I don't know what one of the neighbours were doing but about 11pm they were banging about but sounded like they were moving furniture or something but this went on for ages... My daughter had not long fell asleep so I was worried it was going to wake her up.
Staff lovely, clean, nice decor, like I say rock hard beds never been to a hotel with beds like that. I wasn't going to say anything but then remembered how much we paid for 2 nights and it needs to be addressed unfortunately.
Lovely spacious, decorated rooms, the lady on reception was so lovely and welcoming! Very peaceful and quiet location! The fan in bathroom was really loud and wouldnât turn off unless light was off and the bathroom was slightly dirty with hairs on floor, and stained carpet and walls in main room, holes in linen on bed, otherwise clean enough for purpose of our stay and had everything we needed! Cleaner on Sunday morning was also friendly and pleasant. Would absolutely recommend and also visit again!
We were initially swayed by the ample parking. However, we were very pleased with the friendly welcome. The room was clean and well appointed. A nice bar and great Indian style restaurant, with delicious food completed the package.
The drawers in the bedroom were dirty, especially where the hairdryer is kept - full of coffee stains and hair. When you closed the bathroom door the corner of the room was full of someone else's bodyhair. The room also had an overpowering smell of Jeyes fluid.
When we arrived we rang the bell several times and no one came. Then had to ring the hotel to have a lady arrive. She was lovely but the service was very slow waiting before she arrived. The hotel from the outside was stunning but the inside needs refurbishing. The room itself was pretty looking but the air con was broken, no fan, no iron, no hairdryer and there was lipstick on the mirror. There was an open bin in the bathroom (could really do with a pedal closed one.) The shower gel etc was lovely but the bathroom was a little run down and the shower curtain needed replacing.
It just needs a bit of a refurb (the wires were hanging out from beneath the TV, the radiator was all scuffed up and the walls needed a paint really.) Overall it was an ok stay but I wouldn't say it was value for money.
