Wye River Altair is a great place to stay. Near the beach and the pub

Great views with a superb deck to watch the swimmers and surfers . Also the noise of the rumbling of the waves was great, especially at night

Very well appointed accommodation

The property was very well appointed and clean with everything you could possibly need. The views out to the beach were great. We also had a fabulous variety of birds who joined us on the verandah during our short stay.

Nice

Property a little older than I expected, but very clean. Beds were good, view was great. We were greeted by a few cockatoo on the deck. Also a magpie. We saw a couple kangaroos in a neighbor’s yard. Beach access and nice pub in walking distance. You have to climb a steep hill-easy for us (55 and 60 years old) but something to consider if walking is a problem. Beach is very nice. This area is not as crowded as the larger communities either side of it on the Great Ocean Road. We would stay here again.

Accommodation was good, great views and wildlife. Somewhere in the book indicate CFA is volunteer people and sirens can go off in the night calling them for an emergency...unsure what the siron was for.

perfect, homey and comfortable, ideal for us

The views of the ocean and Wye River are outstanding, best from the generous deck, but still superb from inside the home. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of cooking utensils and crockery. Decor and furniture made you feel at home. We'd say unbeatable value and its somewhere where we'll be trying to come back to.

Fabulous views, huge deck

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The views from the huge deck are so good I could sit out there all day. The kitchen was well stocked (except garbage bags - we only found one) and there was a huge array of DVDs and books. A few things that might require attention - the ensuite shower has a small leak in the corner near the door, We could only use the TV on the first night as the reception was very "glitchy:/ not good the second two nights - this may be weather or antenna? Not sure. Excellent sunny location.

Property was quite nice and comfortable and had all the amenities. The paperwork did mention wood for a fireplace but i never found one. The bedrooms didn't have any heating or electric blanket. But everything else was quite comfortable

A good family holiday home, has everything you could need. Good for the elderly, every thing situated on one level.
