Unwind at this secluded and tranquil getaway aptly named Bella Vista (Beautiful View). Nested on the hillside in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, relax in the heated infinity pool while savoring the breathtaking views of the ocean. Only a short drive to El Cocal Beach, known for its turquoise water, golden sand, and small rocky formation that creates a natural pool perfect for lounging. Bella Vista is the ideal retreat for couples or small families.
The Space
When walking in the main entrance, you will be greeted with an open living room and kitchen layout and large windows creating an abundance of natural light. Relax on the large sectional in the living room and watch a movie on our smart TV, or surf the internet with high-speed Starlink wifi. The modern kitchen is equipped with all the essentials for cooking and has a spacious fridge, dishwasher, and large island with plenty of countertop space and seating. Step out on the balcony and enjoy comfortable lounge chairs to have your morning coffee or a small table to have your meal while overlooking the stunning view of the ocean.

Head down the large staircase to the lower level, and you will find a large closet with a laundry sink for washing off your sandy shoes, and a washer and dryer. The lower level has the master bedroom with a luxurious king bed, desk, smart television, and a full master bathroom with plenty of shelving and closet space. In addition, the second bedroom has a full bed and twin bed, a large wardrobe, as well as its own full bathroom. Both bedrooms have access to the infinity pool, which creates the illusion that the water overflows off the hillside. Go for a late-night swim in the evening and appreciate the pool's light show of changing colors.
Guest Access
Guests can access all aspects of the property except for one closet that is locked for storage. Upon entering the property, you will have access to a gate that you can open and close if you choose. The driveway is steep, so we recommend turning around before exiting since we are located on a busy road. We do not recommend Bella Vista for young children or individuals that need supervision due to the large drop-offs surrounding the house and pool. We recommend you use caution when walking around our pool. In addition, power outages do sometimes occur in Puerto Rico since they are working on upgrading the grid. We currently do not have a generator, but we are working towards getting a solar backup battery in the near future.
Other Things to Note
Bella Vista is located only a few seconds' drive to a great local coffee and breakfast spot Cafe Don Mario. Downtown Yabucoa is about a 15-minute drive and we highly recommend stopping at Dulce & Sala'o by Chef Ye for cocktails, coffee, and a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner. For beachgoers, the Guayanés, Lucía, and El Cocal beaches are a short drive and less crowded than some of the famous spots on the west coast and near San Juan. The Punta Yeguas Nature Reserve, also called Doña Inés María Mendoza Nature Reserve, offers a diverse and picture-worthy landscape with meadows, sandstone cliffs, and three promontories of sedimentary rock that overlook the beach.
