Very nice place, well located not far from Miyanoura port (10-15 min walk). Lovely hosts.
Only issue on our side: we were while Tapah Typhoon was active, then of course our visit of Yakushima was more limited..
Seriously don't stay here!!!
First it's not really a hotel, it's a guest house which run by a man and woman.
The place is hard to find but that's not actually the real problem.
The attitude of the guy is very rude and unprofessional that I couldn't believe.
On the check out day at 10:06 the guy came and started pounding at the door, when I opened it he took the door from me opened it widely while I was dressing up and said "check out now!"
I have traveled to over 25 countries and stayed in over 200 hotel and Airbnb rooms, but by far this is the worst place I've ever stayed at.
The place is nice but it doesn't compensate for the treatment.
Another thing to mention is on the arrival day I got a message from them telling me to check in at 7pm!!! while the check in time in the website is 5pm!!!!
Would be a long walk from the port. We were glad to have a rent car. The road to the place is well-signed but narrow. Fabulous dinner and tasty breakfast. Definitely worth paying for half board. The room in the annex was very nice. Heater worked great and the twin beds were comfortable. The walls are on the thin side, so you can hear your neighbors a bit.
Nice people. Very clean and great view. Im glad i rented a car. It would have been tricky to get in n out. You kinda want a car to go around yakushima anyway. Would come back.
