Room was comfortable & clean, although a little noisy as it faced our over the front beer garden. The windows are not modern double glazing so even with the windows shut the pub's music was still clearly audible as the speaker sounded like it was just below the window. Despite this I'm a returning customer as the pub is nice, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly.

Comfortable and welcoming

Lovely staff, and super comfortable beds. Very quiet sleep despite being on a main road (double windows). Breakfast is amazing, as is the restaurant food.

The Staff were very welcoming as soon as we arrived. The waitress at breakfast was lovely and the housekeeper was very helpful. The Hotel and room was very clean. All round an excellent place to stay.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the service was friendly and first class. The room was very nice and the bed extremely comfortable. I had the best night's sleep I have had in years.Could not find fault in any way with the evening meal and the breakfast. The young lads and lasses who were waiting on the tables both inside and out, always had a smile on their face.

The location of the property was very convenient for our needs, though I'm not sure I would call it a hotel. It is more a pub with rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is good. Our bedroom was of good size and decorative order. We were surprised, for the money, that our room was not serviced during our 2 night stay.

Good well equipped clean room. Lots of road noise as room was at front of hotel. This cannot be helped but maybe better secondary double glazing would help? Good choice for breakfast but husband wasn’t very keen on the full English. Not very nice black pudding, fried egg overdone on bottom and underdone on top, not much taste to the bacon. Staff efficient and friendly, would stay again but would ask if there are any non front facing rooms.
