A nice hotel in the centre of York. Walkable to all sightseeings. Hotel parking is limited. Reception staff was not helpful to direct to alternative parking options

Great hotel near all the attractions in York. Very nice people and staff. The rooms are beautiful and very cozy. Would stay here again!

Great, friendly staff, especially those who worked in the breakfast room. The breakfast was excellent with great variety including an à la carte option of eggs Benedict, porridge etc. Brilliant location, just a few minutes from York city centre. Only one criticism - the toilet in the bathroom was stained and looked like it needed a good scrub but apart from that the room was spotless.

Hotel is beautiful, and the room was very clean and spacious. Staff was nice and helpful, in the area is pretty walkable to most things in the city. Our only qualms about staying here again would be the breakfast (quality and options, especially for a vegetarian) in the pull out sofa was totally unusable- thankfully we did not have to utilize this, but this is not possible for someone to sleep on.

Our first room was claustrophobic and tight. Some staff were unhelpful when we requested a change, saying no other rooms were available and making us wait while serving other customers. The second room was also disappointing the bathroom showed poor maintenance, with a worn sink and grouting in need of repair. Overall, the stay was unsettling and felt overly priced for the rating.

A wonderful stay

Hotel is an easy 20 minute walk from York train station. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained with very comfortable beds. Rooms have everything you could need including hair dryers, irons, and a refrigerator. Service from everyone was excellent, and included suggestions for meals and sightseeing from the front desk help.
