Beautiful, luxurious apartment house "Aquila", 5 storeys, built in 2004. In the district of Zer Bännu, 850 m from the centre, in a quiet, sunny position, south facing position. In the house: lift, storage room for skis, central heating system. Supermarket 750 m, restaurant 350 m, bakery 850 m, bicycle rental 850 m, 15 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Wiestibrücke" 500 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 850 m. Mountain railway, ski rental 700 m, ski bus stop 500 m, ski school 1.1 km, children's ski school 1.1 km. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house. The keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Zermatt. Taxis can drive to within 50 steps of the house. After this point, you can use the elevator after the first staircase next to the house Capriolo, to avoid the extra stairs.

Great apartment - tough to get to though...
Really well equipped and organized: the Interhome team were great, very available and the apartment itself has great views (although the tree is now a bit bigger than in the listing photo!) and is well equipped. But... boy it takes some getting to - either a 15 mins walk or a 20.- taxi ride, then down steps, down an elevator, up steps, up an elevator... all to get to the front door! Ok if you're traveling light, but it's some effort if you dragging luggage and kids.
So overall, if you're traveling light and are fit/mobile enough to bypass the elevators, take the stairs up and down and walk back and forth into town - this place is great.

Beautiful Mountain Penthouse apartment
This is a beauitiful, well equipped apartment with a lot of special touches. The architecture with the beams and wood trim and builtins was lovely. It had a real Swiss mountain feel and had every thing we needed. Weenjoyed our stay there very much. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked breakfast and two dinners there. The only difficuilty was the steep climb for us to get there. I am 78 and my husband is 80.
