The room was great. Clean, big TV, and a walk out area. I would give 5 stars, but I have to knock off 2 stars for this reason.
We were waiting for there to be room in the hot tub, and when we noticed it was finally empty, we went in.
We turned on the jets and got in, but the hot tub was just lukewarm. On top of that the jets were way too powerful and were just splashing water everywhere.
But the main reason I am writing this review is because of the chemicals in the hot tub. As soon as we got in, we noticed it was a little hard to breathe, but we thought nothing of it. Shortly after, our eyes started to burn and turn really red.
We could smell the chemicals in the hot tub as if they were just put in. It didn't smell like chlorine either, it was a very different smell.
We hopped out after just a few minutes because we couldn't handle it anymore.
We got back and immediately showered one after another, but I started having an allergic reaction when we got back to the room.
The shower didn't seem to help, but luckily I had allergy pills in my bag. The allergies had calmed down when I woke up in the morning, but overall a terrible hot tub experience.
If I had to guess, I would assume they just put in the cleaning chemicals when the hot tub was empty, but at least wait until the hot tub is closed for the night before doing that.
Some people got in right after us, so I'm wondering if they has a similar experience.
