There are several restaurants advertised that you are not allowed to use unless you are a "member." Which I was told is about $20,000 to become.... No thanks. The resort definitely caters to it's members rather that the other patrons. Staff were very friendly but more of a time share selling vibe than all inclusive resort compared.to previous experiences in mexico

This property is a 3-star not a 5-star as promoted. There is no bottled water unless you buy it and it’s $10 USD in resort store. They just put jugs in your fridge. Additionally this resort is allegedly all inclusive but our fridge was not replenished until we asked. Normally the fridge should be stocked up daily. Housekeeping was a half job. The bathroom floor/corners/around the toilet were gross. Great beach but definitely not a 5-star resort.

Staff at Marival are the best! They are warm, friendly & go above and beyond. The resort is clean, the food is good, and there is an assortment of activities. Dissapointed there were not as many activity staff as in the past. We will return again next year because the staff are excellent.

Although this property is older they have done a great job of maintaining it. Close to the airport, shopping a 15 mins walk away, staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurants were pretty good and so was the buffet. They have theme nights most nights which was fun for a week stay. If I was staying longer would have explored more local restaurants. All the rooms in the two main buildings have ocean views and very clean. They could do better at explaining what is open when and the reservations for the restaurant is not the best. The only other thing I could point out is that they do not have a scale and that would have been helpful. Overall a great little hotel and great for families and people who want a quieter resort.
