My husband and I went to Alamogordo to spend our anniversary with our son and daughter-in-law. There was a slight hiccup with the house when we got there but I contacted the owner and he got it taken care of right away. He was really quick in responding back to me. We will definitely rent this house again next time we go back to visit.

Unfortunately I didn't make it to the rental property. We were on our way down from MT and only made it to Salt Lake City. I came down with a nasty flu and I was unable to travel to NM for Thanksgiving. It's been a week and I'm still in a hotel room in SLC. I will head back to MT tomorrow now that I can finally get out of bed. Since I couldn't make it to your property my son and his wife stayed a few times since it was so close to the military base that he is stationed at. He said it was a nice plane and he and his wife enjoyed staying there. Hopefully I will get to try again during another visit to NM before my son deploys. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Long Weekend in Alamogordo

We had a great stay in Alamogordo thanks to our home base. The house was just as advertised, the beds were very comfortable, and the neighborhood quiet. Rodney was a great communicator and returned messages promptly. The grocery store, shopping and the interstate were minutes away. Good value for the price.

Great place close to Holloman AFB and White Sands

Great house. Kids loved the video games and separate TV room. Yard was secure and great for the dogs. Host was very responsive. Had no issues, and would stay here again.

Alamogordo, TX house

House was nice but had need for a few repairs. Nothing major. Closet door stuck, vent in bedroom was rusted and unsightly, ceiling in bathroom was damaged. Owner was advised and responded positively. Location was great for White Sands visit. Overall a good visit!

Great local host communication

Visiting White Sands. This spacious comfortable home is in a friendly Alamogordo neighborhood closest to White Sands. Local host very accommodating when I had to change one night of my stay. Kind of “no frills” but comfortable, spacious, access to garage that walks right into kitchen, large enclosed yard for my sweet dog Mazie. A nice stay!

We would use the house again

Everything with the property was as advertised. It was very easy to communicate with Rodney and he responded right away. Property was clean. The outside could use some tender loving care. Easy access to Alamogordo, White Sands, etc. Very much enjoyed the stay.

Needs some TLC, but has a lot of positives

I gave this stay a 3/5 because the home wasn't cleaned when I arrived and it needs a little TLC. Otherwise, the home has a lot going for it. Per the host, there was a miscommunication among the cleaners and the home didn't get cleaned before I arrived. The host got cleaners in that night, but it was late before the home was ready for me. The home itself could also use some TLC including the ceiling coming down in one of the bathrooms and a missing fire alarm in the primary bedroom. However, there were also a lot of positives. The home was conveniently located to Holloman AFB, White Sands, and Alamogordo. The neighborhood was welcoming and really quiet, and I felt safe walking my dogs around in the evening once it cooled off. A law officer lives a few homes down the street and parks their vehicle in the driveway. The A/C works great, the furniture appeared new and was very comfortable, and the TV has an awesome picture. The shower has strong water pressure, and the back yard is fenced - although only medium height walls. I also appreciated how the host set the front door code. It made it easy to remember with no need to fumble for my phone each time I entered the home.

Clean and comfy but untinsel were lacking

Everything was clean and comfortable but the grill outside looked nasty and the reverse osmosis water system needs new filters. Water felt slimey so we used bottled water. And fry pans need replacing but we managed to use them.
