The property was interesting. The dining area was an interesting room but furnishings for dining were cheap. This place was really something in it's hayday but far from it now.Room was clean and plenty of space. Bed was excellent.

The staff was friendly. But the rooms need to be updated. No tv in the livingroom. The furniture is very old.

The architecture and design is beautiful, very reminiscent of Europe. The staff was very friendly and polite. There were quite a few things that needed repair. A marble sink top was broken and only caulked. A pipe was leaking in the underground parking area that dripped on my vehicle leaving hard water deposits on my windshield. Most of the doors were damaged and didn't close properly (the front lobby door, the door to the Plaza Verde wing, one of the doors from the underground parking garage). The only other issue I had was the cleaning lady opened my door and started to come in when I had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door handle.

I was there all of 15 minutes. The room they gave me had stains on the carpet and curtains, as well as tears and burn marks in the curtains. The smell was atrocious. I immediately walked back to the front desk and said I could not stay in that room. The clerk’s response was “I wouldn’t stay here either”.
When I tried to get a refund the manager refused and said that the room was not that bad and that they were remodeling. There were no signs of a remodel.
At one point this was a nice/fun place to stay- I have no idea what happened to it and recommend that everyone stay clear of this hell hole.

Dear Ms. Madrid, I apologize you did not accept my response to your request for refund. Yes, I did inspect the room after your check out, there was a small carpet stain, no stains on drapes that would affect the comfort of your room or stay. Room was immaculately cleaned, ac worked great, and yes furniture is outdated. Property currently has over 20 rooms under intense renovation with expectation of renting very soon. The smell of the room was not odorous as you claimed. Staff member did not confirm your statement and what I said to your question of full refund was that a carpet stain was not a valid reason for a full refund as this was the only complaint that could be confirmed and documented. I wish you safe and happy travels!

A once nice hotel now falling below the good mark
I hate to complain, but...
Tv didn't work
One hand towel, one bath towel, no wash cloths for two people
Bathroom door knob broken - wouldn't stay shut
No Kleenex in room.
Had a kitchenette, but no silverware, dishes or glassed.
Refrigerator not turned on or broken
Underground parking with keycard access was excellent, but spooky for two women alone due to it being empty of guests parked there both on check on and check out
When we pulled back the covers on one of the beds, the bottom sheet was not attached to the corners of the mattress on one side.
Like I said it was an elegant hotel which still showed, but has fallen on hard times with the lack of amenities showing its decline. The beds were comfortable and it was convenient to the appointments I was there for, but next time I will find another hotel.

The saying says "you get what you pay for." This does not apply for this hotel. Go .3 miles down to the 6. Seriously.

Nice hotel close to downtown
My wife has a number of food issues. She is usually unable to eat any of the food provided for breakfast at the motels, hotels where we have stayed. I may eat breakfast there but we still have to make another stop at a restaurant that has a menu which includes gluten and dairy free choices. She has an app that provides that information but the location may not be near or convenient for our other plans.
This was the first hotel where she has been able to eat a healthy and full breakfast. We will definitely return!

not quiet or comfortable
There were many things wrong with this hotel the a/c was not working properly it never cooled the room, there was no parking for the hotel guests due to a wedding that was going on at the hotel, the noise due to the wedding was just intolerable and staff let it go on, the phone was falling off the wall, the handle to the sink was not even screed on, and the bartender was rude to the customers. The experience was just bad all around. We packed up and spent our last day at another hotel.
