Wonderful

I never leave reviews, but felt it necessary to say how fantastic Victor was greeting us, showing us around, and overall making us feel so welcome.
Great stay 100% will be returning
We had a lovely 2 night stay in a cozy ensuite room. Great location with ample free parking. Suited our needs perfectly. Very nice complimentary breakfast. Warm welcome from Victor who goes the extra mile. Would definitely choose again.
Perfectly located venue with very friendly service
Stayed for 2 nights with my wife. In a comfy room which had been refurbished. The room was compact but unless you were planning to spend a whole day in the room, it was perfect for sleeping and getting ready for the day.
We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who showed us to our room and explained the facilities and was really friendly along with the other staff throughout our stay. Nothing was too much bother and were always willing to help.
The room was clean and the bed very comfy and had two fantastic nights sleep. Breakfast was good with quick service. Parking on site and ample. Only a 10 min walk if that to the town itself.
Would defo recommend this B&B.
Reception was wonderful and helpful.
Room was quiet but let down by cleanliness … thick dust on furniture & black dirt on windows.
No water in the morning for a wash or toilet use. Had to resort to going downstairs to use the public toilet.
Informed a staff member who said there was no water pressure in higher rooms and this had been mentioned before, but no management were available.
I had sent a follow up email, but a week after the visit no response received.
My second time in a year to the Lake District. Great Hotel and excellent rooms. My room was flooded with light and a big comfortable bed. Heating was great and the house keeping. The breakfasts are fantastic and certainly worth the indulgence. It’s located in a lovely village, with breweries, pubs, tea rooms and local craft shops. I highly recommend a stay.
Room number 10.The room was small with little drawer space. The bathroom and in particular the shower was awful and potentially dangerous. On two occasions the water went off whilst showering for two minutes and then came back on scalding my head. I complained to the manager and he said someone forgot to turn something on adding that he would have been furious if it had been him. I showed him my head which was red with the scalding water suddenly coming through. The shower itself was previously one with sliding doors which have been removed and replaced with a curtain which was hardly long enough to stop water getting on the floor causing a slippery surface and thus unsafe The sealant around the shower tray was mouldy and unhygienic. However we are not at all happy and are interested to hear your view on the matter. We feel that we should be compensated for what was probably the worst room and particularly the bathroom we have stayed in
Great service and friendly staff. Place is very dated and doesn't reflect the images for the room we got. Booked for a romantic weekend and ended up booking somewhere else.
Newly refurbished room with a comfortable bed, provided toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities.
Great fresh breakfast selection of both hot and cold items.
Victor and Joanna friendly and helpful both before visit answering questions and also during stay.
Very kindly provided complimentary Birthday gift for partner.
Great location with free off road parking.
Overall a fantastic Guest House which we will definitely return to!
