We didn't know what to expect our first time in Amsterdam, but really loved our experience and The Apollofirst Boutique Hotel was the icing on the cake! Maxim and the entire staff are top notch, the hotel is small which I like, and the breakfast/coffee/service were great!! We were there during King's Day and they served complimentary drinks and cake. I hope we make it back to Amsterdam for a river cruise so we can soak up more of the city and renew our friendships with Apollofirst!!!

Lovely quiet hotel that was decorated and furnished romantically. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but good selection of hot and cold drinks available at the bar and some lovely (but expensive) restaurants within a short walk.

This is a small hotel run by a staff that really makes an effort to serve their clients. Overlooks a park on one side and garden on the other. Excellent breakfast. A fifteen minute walk to the museums.

This was my first stay in Amsterdam. Location of this hotel was convenient. Public transportation close by and most notable attractions can be walking distance if you are a walker. I wish there were mirrors inside the room and not in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was amazing.

Absolutely lovely hotel on a quiet street, yet still conveniently located. Breakfast was delightful: a variety of hot and cold items; delicious breads, jams, and juices; enjoyed in a charming dining room with friendly and attentive wait staff. We had a pleasant, comfortable stay at a lovely hotel in a quiet neighborhood. (Shops and good restaurants are just a short walk away and the Museum Quarter is short tram ride, or 15-20 min walk). Staff was excellent. Check in and out was efficient and friendly. We discovered after arriving that the Amsterdam Marathon was taking place the day of our departure and the staff was very helpful in explaining the options to get to the central train station given the busy traffic conditions and arranged a taxi for us. We would (will) stay here again.
