At night sit on the porch and listen to the tranquil sounds of the river, do a little stargazing or grill your favorite steak, sit around the firepit or picnic table. The Dan River house was very roomy. The kitchen had basic supplies for all our cooking needs. Lots of pillows and blankets. Estella was a very gracious host and answered all our questions.We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the river. The grandchildren played in the river, even though it was October. We will be back in the summer to try tubing on the Dan River.
