Calm Home next to Trailhead and Cal Poly

LOCATION: Our place is a two-story house ideally located right across the street from Arcata Community Forest. From here you only need a 2-min drive to get to Cal Poly Humboldt University. Close to Arcata city center, where you can explore the Farmer's Market at the plaza every Saturday.

PET: We allow up to two pets per stay, with a pet fee (*please include your pets in the booking*). Pets are NOT allowed on furniture. Please DO NOT leave pets unattended.

INTERNET: We pay for gigabyte internet service. Our place is perfect for remote working that requires video calls.

THE HOUSE: Spacious two-story house with a total size of 2,425 sqft. Can host 8 people very comfortably. Second floor: living room, full kitchen , dining area, sun room; 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and 2 full bathrooms. There are a total of 15 stairs to get to the second floor. First floor: living room, kitchenette, 1 full bedroom, 1 full bathroom, pool table, arcade game, laundry room. This floor is also accessible from the garage without stairs.

BABY STUFF: We have a baby gate at the top of the stairs. Some baby supplies (high chair, stroller, rocking horse, Pack n’ play, switch covers can be found around the house or upon asking).

Guests have access to the entire house including the backyard. We have only exterior cameras at the property for security reasons.

Arcata Short-Term Rental Permit: #607310. The total price includes a 10% short-term rental tax that’s required by the city.

Excellent stay!

We loved our stay. Across the street from the community forest for many walks, close to town (Arcata is pretty small though), great game room area for teenagers, lots of space, big smart TV, and a great sunroom. Kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. We really liked this place and we will definitely want to stay again!

Quiet residential retreat

Located right off Arcata Bay, this nice residential home was perfect for our quick trip north. Right by hiking trails and still in the Redwood forests it was a quiet nice destination.

Arcata is a great town, and the house is located right across from the community forest trailhead. We'd happily stay here again on our next trip to visit our CalPoly Humboldt student!

Great space and location

This house is located close to redwood community park, Cal Poly Humboldt, and the Arcata plaza. We had plenty of space to enjoy with our adult children and significant others. Dog friendly is a plus!

Perfect for a large family

We came to Aceata, CA for the Kinetic Sculpture race. Our family of 9 loved this house across from the redwoods. Everyone sat at the dining room table for family meals. We walked into town for race events and to visit Humboldt Pie. Everyone had a great time.

Magnificent House and walking trails

Eight adults who work in the healthcare field had a wonderful stay. We were so grateful for the walking trails among the ancient giants and the home nestled by nature. The soulfulness of the weekend was welcomed by all. Highly recommend this home.
