Simple But Sweet Cottage House
Simply but sweet 3 br, 1 b home with kitchen, open living room. Has a carport with ample parking. Hardwood floors, 3 qn beds, dining for 6, bath tub, shower and small deck with grill. It also has a washer/dryer. Biltmore Park and Asheville Outlets 3 miles. Close to Airport, Arboretum, Blue Ridge Parkway, Bent Creek biking and hiking. There are many activities on the French Broad River like Zen Tubing, fishing, canoeing and more. Only 20 min from downtown Asheville, and Biltmore Estate.
The property was exactly what was expected! Pretty of fresh linens and enough stocked kitchen utensils for a few cozy meals in! Although the weather didn't hold up enough to spend much time outside, the firepit area and back porch were inviting!
Quiet stay even though near main road and across from the fire department!
Becky was on top of things and quick to answer when we had questions. Would definitely book again!
We planned a quick getaway to Asheville before Christmas. The house was exactly as described and met out needs perfectly. We we often out and about in the area. The location was convenient and we were pleased in every aspect of our stay!
The location of the property was good since it was 3 minutes from my siblingâs home. We were very busy and didnât spend much time at the property. It was good fit for our purposes.
Had a great experience at this VRBO. Really enjoyed the fire pit and huge bonus that the wood was provided! Some of the early communication didn't work right but Becky responded immediately and got it all cleared up. I would stay here again!
This property was convenient to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate (about a 20 min drive). Itâs on some land with woods behind the house so it feels somewhat private. There is a nice fire pit with plenty of wood and a grill! The house itself was very clean but outdated. The blinds need replaced and the bathroom is pretty small and old. The kitchen seemed equipped although we didnât use it at all. Those are really my only complaints. Becky was quick to respond when I reached out to her. We took our FireStick and used it in on the bedroom tv. The internet was nice and quick. We would definitely stay again!
Simple, nicely appointed, and SAFE! A big yard offering privacy and space. The road is well traveled, but road noise was never a problem. Nice bedding, fluffy towels, and plenty of them. Kitchen is more than adequate. One bath might be a problem to some, but not for me. Convienient to interstate and Bent Creek. Great find.đ
Property location is close to all the great attractions of Asheville (Mills River, Brevard, Pisgah, Bent Creek, Biltmore area). Perfect size for a small family and nice back yard area for kids and adults to enjoy.
When we arrived there were a few things in disarray and clean towels were still in the dryer, but Becky came over quickly to explain there was a misunderstanding with housekeeping. The blinds need replaced or repaired in kitchen and living area to provide complete privacy but otherwise everything was good.
Stayed with our grown children and infant grandson for two nights for a mini vacation in Asheville. Location was perfect for visiting Biltmore and downtown Asheville, and driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. About 20 minutes to Biltmore and downtown.
Plenty of parking - we had three cars and it was easy for us to park out of the way so any of us could come and go without the others have to shuffle their cars.
The house is not overly large, but it accommodated six adults and the baby just fine. Having a single bathroom was the biggest challenge, and with very little effort we overcame and adapted! Beds are comfy, bedrooms plenty large, bedding and towels seemed nice and new. Sectional sofa accommodated most of us - dragged a couple of kitchen chairs in for the rest of the crew. And the sofa doubled as a bed for our son.
Kitchen is sufficient. Not extremely well stocked with cooking vessels and utensils. Lacks some good sharp knives and maybe some casserole dishes. Very basic spices in cupboard and not much in the line of foil, wrap or baggies for leftovers. But lots of room for whatever goodies you bring along, and a fair selection of nice cooking pots and pans. We used the outdoor grill one night. Convenient to kitchen and a beautiful view to enjoy while the steaks cooked. Also a very nice fire ring in the yard with plenty of firewood.
We didnât use the laundry facilities or even check them out so I canât comment except to say that itâs available.
House is across from the fire station, and on the first evening there was a fire run and we heard some sirens. But just once in the whole time we were there so donât be intimidated by that. Several choices of grocery stores within a 5-10 minute drive.
Check in and out weâre a breeze. Becky was very quick to answer my messages and very welcoming.
Overall, it was a comfy and cozy stay at a great price point.
Thanks for the stay, Becky!
